An air-cleaner structure of a saddle-ride vehicle is provided with an air-cleaner case arranged between a seat and a head pipe located in front of the seat. The air-cleaner case is provided with a bottom half and a top half. The bottom half is arranged in a space surrounded by a rear face of the head pipe and a pair of left and right main frames extending from the head pipe toward the rear of the vehicle. The top half is situated above the main frames. The top half is provided in a vertical two division structure. A dividing surface of the vertical two division structure of the top half is inclined in the vehicle-longitudinal direction. An air-cleaner element is mounted along the inclined dividing surface.

Air-cleaner structure of saddle-ride type vehicle

A vehicle is disclosed with a seating assembly which is capable of prompting an occupant to take an appropriate riding posture depending on the behavior of the vehicle body. A motorcycle includes tilting mechanisms for tilting seating surfaces of a front seat (rider seating part) and a rear seat (passenger seating part) and an ECU carries out a control process for tilting the seating surfaces to lift rear portions of the seats upwardly in response to an action to accelerate the motorcycle and a control process for tilting the seating surfaces to lift front portions of the seats upwardly in response to an action to decelerate the motorcycle.

Vehicle with seating assembly

A motorcycle includes a step operating mechanism that changes the position of pillion steps (passenger steps), and an electronic control unit carries out step inclining control to change the position of the pillion steps, so that footrest surfaces of the pillion steps may each become an inclined surface, in which the steps are pivotally raised such that a portion of the passenger step situated at the vehicle body outside is raised toward the vehicle body upper side relative to a portion of the passenger step situated at the vehicle body inside, in response to at least one of an acceleration operation, a deceleration operation, and a turn operation of the motorcycle. Such arrangement provides a vehicle that can induce an occupant to take a riding posture suitable for the traveling status of the vehicle.

Vehicle including steps

A throttle body structure includes a plurality of throttle bores, an idle air control valve that is provided between the throttle bores, a plurality of bypass passages that extend toward a downstream side of the throttle bores, and bypass ports that are arranged between the throttle bores and supply idle air to throttle bores which are spaced apart from the idle air control valve. Compound bypass passages and third bypass passages are arranged parallel to each other. The third bypass passages communicate with the throttle bores arranged adjacent to the idle air control valve, and the compound bypass passages communicate with the bypass ports.

Throttle body structure

In a saddle riding type vehicle in which a connecting tube that connects between an air cleaner placed behind a rear cushion unit extending vertically behind an engine body and a throttle body placed in front of the rear cushion unit is placed to pass by a lateral side of the rear cushion unit, adhesion of an injected fuel to an inner wall surface of an air intake passage is suppressed while a fuel injection valve is placed behind the throttle body, whereby stabilization of an air-fuel ratio is achieved. An air cleaner includes a cleaner element, and a support case supporting the cleaner element while forming a purification chamber together with the cleaner element. Here, a rear end portion of a connecting tube is connected to the support case. A fuel injection valve, whose direction of injection is oriented to the inside of a throttle body, is attached to the support case.

Air intake device in saddle riding type vehicle

An intake system for an internal combustion engine, having a structure in which blow-by oil and/or fuel entering into an air cleaner case can be discharged to the outside of the air cleaner case. The intake system for an internal combustion engine is provided in which air is sucked from a clean air chamber in the air cleaner case into a throttle body provided with a throttle valve through a funnel while defining an airflow passage. Concurrently, fuel is sprayed from an injector, thereby feeding the fuel-air mixture into an intake port. A bypass passage different from the airflow passage is provided between the clean air chamber in the air cleaner case and the throttle body. The bypass passage is so structured that a passage inlet thereof on the clean air chamber side opens at an inner wall surface of the air cleaner case.

Intake system for internal combustion engine

A compact intake device for a multicylinder engine includes fuel injection valves, vacuum conduits, and purge conduits compactly disposed on throttle bodies. First and second connecting tubes are disposed on a plurality of throttle bodies of a multicylinder engine and are open into intake passages in the throttle bodies substantially perpendicularly to the axes of the intake passages. The first and second connecting tubes are disposed in sandwiching relation to fuel injection valves. Purge conduits are connected to the first connecting tubes, and vacuum conduits are connected to the second connecting tubes.

Intake device for multicylinder engine

A fuel distribution apparatus for a V-type engine wherein first and second throttle bodies connected to first and second banks disposed in a V shape, respectively, are disposed therebetween and a main fuel distribution pipe for distributing fuel from a common fuel supply system is connected to first and second fuel injection valves provided in the first and second throttle bodies, respectively, is configured such that the fuel distribution pipe is formed from first and second distribution pipes separate from each other and connected to the first and second fuel injection valves and besides fastened to the first and second throttle bodies, respectively, a joint pipe connects the fuel supply to the first or second distribution pipes. Communication conduit connects the first and second distribution pipes.
