Pyranometer

A pyranometer, comprises a thermal sensor, and a diffusing member positioned so as to be opposed to a receiving surface of the thermal sensor.

The invention provides a pyranometer with a fast response time, a reduced offset amount, and reduced impacts from harsh outside environment and an enhanced long-term stability, as well as an excellent cosine response. The pyranometer has: a silicon-based thermopile sensor, which is sealed airtight in a CAN package and positioned opposed to the receiving surface of the thermopile sensor; and diffusing member that is positioned so as to be opposed to a receiving surface of the thermopile.

A transmitting circuit is connected to a power line at current flow-in sides to solar battery strings, and a receiving circuit is connected to the power line at current flow-out sides to the solar battery strings. An attenuating circuit connected in series to a bypass diode is provided in a bypass circuit. The transmitting circuit transmits a periodic signal of a predetermined frequency to the power line. The receiving circuit receives via the solar battery strings a transmission signal transmitted from the transmitting circuit to the power line. A determining circuit determines that, when it is detected that an amplitude of a transmission signal received by the receiving circuit is attenuated by a predetermined value or more, direct-current power is conducted to the bypass circuit.

A field sequential color display apparatus for sequentially displaying RGB field images so that a color frame image can be observed, comprising: an LCD display device for displaying RGB field images; a timing generation/control circuit for controlling the order of RGB field images to be displayed on the LCD display device; a pixel shifting unit for causing the beam of each pixel displayed on the LCD display device to be shifted by each frame image so as to enhance the resolution of image observed by a viewer; and an optical system for making it possible to display an image before shifted at the pixel shifting unit and an image after the shift. Among the RGB field images, the G field image having highest spectral luminous efficiency is displayed at an intermediate order within the frame images so that leakage thereof is not caused by the pixel shifting operation.

A projection display apparatus comprises luminous bodies, a luminous body driving portion which drives to turn on each of the luminous bodies, light leading members which optically separately lead and project light beams exiting from the luminous bodies, a movable portion which enables relative movement of the light leading members and the luminous bodies, and a light selection control portion which controls the movable portion and/or the luminous body driving portion in such a manner that light beams which enter the light leading members are selected. The apparatus further comprises a light modulation element which performs light modulation, an illumination member which illuminates the light modulation element with light beams from the light leading members, and a display control portion which controls the light selection control portion and the light modulation element in such a manner that the element suitable for light beams from the light leading members is illuminated.

Field sequential color display device

This invention is an image display device comprising an LCD in which plural pixels are two-dimensionally arranged; a digital image processing circuit for controlling in the LCD for each pixel to display an image on the basis of image signals; a wobbling optical element, which is composed of a liquid crystal cell or a birefringence, for sequentially refracting optical paths of beams emitted from the display element to perform pixel-staggering; and a mask circuit for masking end areas in the horizontal direction, where the wobbling optical element performs pixel-staggering by a length longer than a pitch of the pixels so that pixel density is thin, so as to be displayed in black; and a control signal generator for judging whether any subject pixel is a pixel to be masked on the basis of a start signal, a vertical synchronization signal, a horizontal synchronization signal, a clock and the like. This device makes it possible that a more exact image is displayed by a limited number of pixels to be more easily watched.

An image display apparatus for displaying an image to a viewer, including: a back light for emitting a light for use in displaying; a polarization beam splitter for separating into two parts the emitted light from the back light and projecting one thereof as a polarized light in a specified direction toward a reflecting type LCD display device; the LCD display device for causing the incident light to be reflected at a reflecting film on the back surface thereof to emit a specified displaying light in a polarized condition; and a pixel shifting unit on which the polarized displaying light from the reflective LCD display device after passing through the polarization beam splitter is caused to be incident so that a high-resolution display can be obtained by performing 2-point or 4-point pixel shift.

In an image display comprising a display element having a display surface with a regular array of a plurality of pixels, an image display control means for displaying different images different in successive fields on the display element, and a vibrating means for vibrating the optical axis of light emitted from the display surface in predetermined directions in synchronism to the switching of images by the image display control means, a temperature control means for the temperature of the vibrating means is provided. With the provision of the temperature of the vibrating means, it is possible to effectively improve the wobbling effect reduction due to the temperature dependency of the response characteristic of the vibrating means.

Image display using wobbling

An image display system for viewing an electronic image and an external sight simultaneously, which includes image display units which have an individual controller for outputting image signals to a display unit. The display unit enables a switching operation with a predetermined operation mode from a plurality of operation modes, including a mode for indicating the image signals output from the individual controller. An external control device outputs mode control signals which address the operation mode of the display unit and are received by an external control terminal. A mode exchanging switch specifies a condition of the mode control signal. A detection unit detects whether the external control terminal is connected to a connector capable of outputting a mode control signal. The individual controllers are connected to the external control terminals in turn so as to couple the controllers to the external control device in series. The operation modes can be collectively and forcibly controlled by the individual controllers on the basis of mode control signals received by the external control unit.

Image display system

Provided herein is an image display apparatus for displaying high resolution images by shifting pixels based on wobbling operation by placing a TN cell consisting of a polarization changing liquid crystal plate and a birefringence plate on the front side of an LCD to be driven by video signals, the image display apparatus being provided with a correction circuit to which video signal of the preceding filed stored to a field memory, video signal of the current field and a field discriminant signal are inputted, the LCD being driven by correction video signals generated at the correction circuit so as to display a high resolution image mitigating degradation in image quality due to response delays of the LCD and TN cell.
