An image processing device includes a supply unit that supplies a coefficient data group in each sub-band, in which image data of a predetermined number of lines is decomposed for each frequency band by a hierarchical analysis filter process and which includes coefficient data of one line or more in a sub-band of at least a lowest frequency component, a synthesis filter unit that synthesizes the coefficient data group and generates image data in a baseband, a supply control unit that controls the supply unit to supply the coefficient data at such a timing that the synthesis filter unit can generate the image data at a timing corresponding to a horizontal synchronization period, and a synthesis filtering control unit that controls the synthesis filter unit to synthesize the coefficient data group in the predetermined order and generate the image data at a timing corresponding to the horizontal synchronization period.

Image processing device and method

An information processing device, configured to divide the frequency components of image data into a plurality of frequency bands, includes an analysis filtering unit configured to perform analysis filtering for dividing the frequency components into highband components and lowband components recursively, and a holding unit configured to supply, in sync with timing for holding data supplied as a computation result of the analysis filtering by the analysis filtering unit, the data already held, which is data necessary for computation of next analysis filtering to the analysis filtering unit.

An image data processing apparatus includes a memory for storing coefficient data obtained by performing a wavelet transform on image data, a calculation unit for calculating a memory address of the memory storing the coefficient data, based on an encoding parameter of the image data and an amount of data of the coefficient data, a memory area reservation unit for reserving a memory area where the coefficient data is to be written, in accordance with the memory address calculated by the calculation unit, and a write unit for rearranging the coefficient data in the order of inverse wavelet transform and writing the order-rearranged coefficient data onto the memory area reserved by the memory area reservation unit.

Method and apparatus for processing image data by rearranging wavelet transform data

Wavelet transformation is performed at a plurality of levels as to image signals. A first buffer stores, independently for each of the levels, a part of coefficients from results of analysis filtering in a horizontal direction of the image signals. A second buffer stores, independently for each of the levels, a part of coefficients generated in a computation process of analysis filtering in a vertical direction of the image signals. A vertical filtering unit performs the vertical direction analysis filtering, using coefficients read out from the first and second buffers. A horizontal filtering unit performs analysis filtering in the horizontal direction, using coefficients from the results of the vertical direction analysis filtering as the input of the horizontal direction analysis filtering for the next level, except for the final level of the levels.

Wavelet transformation device and method, wavelet inverse transformation device and method, program, and recording medium

A wavelet transformation device for performing wavelet transformation at a plurality of division levels as to image signals. A horizontal filtering unit subjects the image signals to horizontal direction lowband analysis filtering and highband analysis filtering. Buffers which are independent for each of the division levels, hold frequency components, which are generated as the results of the horizontal direction analysis filtering by the horizontal filtering unit, for each of the division levels. Interleaving devices comprising at least one interleaving unit interleaving brightness components and color difference components of the image signals and interleaving highband components and lowband components of buffered filter results.

An image processing apparatus includes an input unit that inputs image data; and an analysis filtering unit that generates coefficient data of a plurality of subbands by performing analysis filtering of the image data input by the input unit for each predetermined number of lines from an upper-end line to a lower-end line such that analysis filtering of a lower-end line of the current picture is completed before analysis filtering of an upper-end line of the next picture starts.
