A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a multilayer body including dielectric layers and layered internal electrodes, first and second main surfaces, first and second side surfaces, first and second end surfaces, and an external electrode connected to the internal electrodes and provided on each of the first and second end surfaces. A region where the internal electrodes are superimposed is defined as an effective region, regions respectively located on sides of the first and second end surfaces relative to the effective region are defined as first and second regions, and a bent portion where the dielectric layers and the internal electrodes are bent is located in the first region. In the bent portion, all vertices in the stacking direction are located within a range that extends by about 25 &#x3bc;m to about 35 &#x3bc;m in a length direction from the effective region of the multilayer body.

Multilayer ceramic capacitor

An end surface outer layer Mn/Ti peak intensity ratio, which is a ratio of a peak intensity of Mn found by laser ICP to a peak intensity of Ti found by laser ICP in a dielectric ceramic layer in an end surface outer layer portion, is higher than a central portion Mn/Ti peak intensity ratio, which is a ratio of a peak intensity of Mn found by laser ICP to a peak intensity of Ti found by laser ICP in the dielectric ceramic layer in a central portion in a width direction, a length direction, and a layering direction in an effective portion, and a peak intensity of Ni found by TEM-EDX is in a portion of the dielectric ceramic layers in the end surface outer layer portion.

In a multilayer ceramic capacitor, when a ratio of an ICP peak intensity of Mn to an ICP peak intensity of Ti is an Mn/Ti peak intensity ratio, a value of the Mn/Ti peak intensity ratio in a dielectric ceramic layer in at least one of a main surface outer layer portion, a side surface outer layer portion, and an end surface outer layer portion is in a range of two times to fifteen times a value of the Mn/Ti peak intensity ratio in a dielectric ceramic layer in a central portion of an effective portion in a width direction, a length direction, and a stacking direction.

An Mn/Ti peak intensity ratio in a dielectric ceramic layer in an end surface outer layer portion is within two times to fifteen times of the Mn/Ti peak intensity ratio in a central portion, a rare earth element/Ti peak intensity ratio in the dielectric ceramic layer in the end surface outer layer portion is within two times to seven times the rare earth element/Ti peak intensity ratio in the central portion, an Si/Ti peak intensity ratio in the dielectric ceramic layer in a side surface outer layer portion is within two times to five times the Si/Ti peak intensity ratio in the central portion, and the rare earth element/Ti peak intensity ratio in the dielectric ceramic layer in the side surface outer layer portion is within two times to seven times the rare earth element/Ti peak intensity ratio.

A ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic main body in which dielectric layers and internal electrodes are laminated, the ceramic main body including a pair of principal surfaces, a pair of side surfaces, and a pair of end surfaces, the internal electrodes are exposed to the end surfaces, and an underlayer external electrode covers at least a portion of the end surface. When a section of the ceramic main body is viewed, the underlayer external electrode is discontinuously provided on the ceramic main body. The ceramic main body includes an exposed region partially exposed from the discontinuously provided underlayer external electrode, the exposed region is covered with a resin layer, and the underlayer external electrode is covered with a plating film.

Multilayer ceramic electronic component

A multilayer ceramic capacitor that includes outer electrodes and a multilayer body having stacked inner electrode layers and dielectric layers. The dielectric layers in an effective section contain, relative to 100 parts by mole of Ti, 0.7 to 1.2 parts by mole of Si, 0.9 to 1.1 parts by mole of Dy, 0.24 to 0.34 parts by mole of Mg, 0.17 to 0.23 parts by mole of Al, 0.09 to 0.11 parts by mole of Mn, and 0.04 to 0.06 parts by mole of V. The dielectric layers have a Ba/Ti molar ratio of 1.0073 to 1.0083.

In an electronic component, each of a distance between a first outer electrode and a third outer electrode along a length direction and a distance between a second outer electrode and the third outer electrode along a length direction is about 8% to about 13% of a dimension of the electronic component along the length direction.

Electronic component and mounting structure of electronic component

A first terminal electrode extends from a second principal surface onto first and second side surfaces and a first end surface such as not to reach a first principal surface. A second terminal electrode extends from the second principal surface onto the first and second side surfaces and a second end surface such as not to reach the first principal surface. A third terminal electrode extends from the second principal surface onto the first and second side surfaces such as not to reach the first principal surface.

A monolithic ceramic capacitor includes a ceramic sintered body including a plurality of stacked ceramic layers, and first and second inner electrodes alternately arranged inside the ceramic sintered body to oppose each other in a stacking direction of the ceramic layers with the ceramic layers interposed between the adjacent first and second inner electrodes. Among the ceramic layers, a number N of the ceramic layers disposed between the first inner electrodes and the second inner electrodes is at least 232. A proportion of volume occupied by the first and second inner electrodes in the ceramic sintered body is at least about 0.37. A size of each of side gap portions is about 40 &#x3bc;m or less.

Monolithic ceramic capacitor

A multilayer ceramic electronic component that is small, that has high electrical strength, and that is resistant to separation between ceramic layers includes a ceramic sintered body having a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape and a plurality of first and second internal electrodes. The plurality of first and second internal electrodes are alternately arranged so as to face each other. The first and second internal electrodes are parallel or substantially parallel to first and second major surfaces. The first and second internal electrodes are exposed to at least one of the fifth and sixth surfaces and are not exposed to the third or fourth surface. No bends exist in any of the ends of each of the first and second internal electrodes adjacent to the third and fourth surfaces.
