A partition member which has a thickness direction and a planar direction orthogonal to the thickness direction and which constitutes a partition between single batteries in the thickness direction or between a single battery and a member other than the single battery, wherein the partition member includes a thermal insulation material, and an auxiliary member which is disposed so as to be adjacent to the thermal insulation material in the planar direction and regulates a degree of contraction of the thermal insulation material in the thickness direction. A ratio of a density of the auxiliary member relative to a density of the thermal insulation material is 0.50 to 6.0.

Partition member and assembled battery

A negative electrode material for nonaqueous secondary batteries, the negative electrode material comprising carbonaceous particles (A) and silicon oxide particles (B), the carbonaceous particles (A) having a 10%-particle size displacement pressure of 10 MPa or less, the 10%-particle size displacement pressure being measured using a micro-compression testing machine by a specific measuring method, the silicon oxide particles (B) having a median diameter (D50) of 0.8 μm or more and 20 μm or less. It is preferred that the content of the silicon oxide particles (B) is less than 30% by weight of a total content of the carbonaceous particles (A) and the silicon oxide particles (B).

A partition member has a thickness direction and a surface direction orthogonal to the thickness direction and partitions between unit batteries constituting an assembled battery in the thickness direction. The partition member comprises an exterior body including at least sealant resin layers and base material layers, and a liquid accommodated in the exterior body. The exterior body has a sealing portion in which the sealant resin layers are overlapped and joined in a region including an outer edge thereof. A width W (mm) of the sealing portion, a circumferential length L (mm) of the sealing portion, an average interval D (mm) between the two base material layers facing each other in the sealing portion, and a weight A (g) of the liquid satisfy Equation 1 below()/()≤10.0  Equation 1.

Provided are: a negative electrode material for nonaqueous secondary batteries, which can yield a high-capacity nonaqueous secondary battery having excellent discharge rate characteristics; and a negative electrode for nonaqueous secondary batteries and a nonaqueous secondary battery. Also provided is a nonaqueous secondary battery having excellent charge-discharge efficiency. The negative electrode material for nonaqueous secondary batteries includes silicon oxide particles (A) and a carbon material (B), wherein the silicon oxide particles (A) contain zero-valent silicon atoms, and the carbon material (B) has a volume resistivity of less than 0.14 &#x3a9;&#xb7;cm at a powder density of 1.1 g/cm.
