An antenna connection unit is a unit to which receiving antennas for receiving a wireless signal transmitted from a capsule endoscope introduced into a subject, is connectable. The antenna connection unit includes a received electric field strength detector configured to detect received strength of the wireless signal according to a plurality of pieces of input power from the receiving antennas, a correction parameter generation unit configured to generate a received strength correction parameter for correcting the received electric field strength detector, which is obtained by correcting the plurality of pieces of input power and the received strength corresponding to each input power, based on a reference parameter indicating a relationship between each input power and a detection strength obtained by performing a measurement for a received electric field strength detection circuit as a reference in advance, and a storage unit for storing the received strength correction parameter.

An object is to provide a receiver system that allows a plurality of antennas to be easily attached onto a body surface without losing receiving functions of the antennas while improving freedom for a living body. A receiver system transmits in-vivo information including in-vivo images received from a capsule endoscope being the interior of a subject to an exterior receiving device via a plurality of wireless relay devices. Each of the wireless relay devices includes a receiving unit that receives the in-vivo information from the capsule endoscope at a first frequency, a transmitting unit that transmits the in-vivo information at a second frequency, a receiving unit that receives a control signal transmitted by the receiving device at the second frequency, and a control unit that controls transmissions and receptions performed by the receiving unit and the transmitting unit based on the control signal.

Biomedical receiver and sensor system for physiological monitoring of patients

A transmitting/receiving system includes a transmitting apparatus that generate modulated signals each containing a broadband signal component and a narrowband signal component, and transmits the modulated signals to the outside; and a receiving device that receives the modulated signals via at least three receiving antennas. The receiving device includes a signal processing system that processes the broadband signal component contained in the modulated signal; and a received-strength detecting system that processes the narrowband signal component contained in the modulated signal.

A transmitting apparatus includes a receiving unit that receives an external specifying signal for specifying a center frequency of data to be transmitted; a control unit that outputs a specifying signal corresponding to the center frequency; and a frequency switching circuit. The frequency switching circuit includes a center frequency adjuster that adjusts a center frequency of a carrier wave that carries the data to be transmitted; a frequency modulator that modulates a frequency of the carrier wave according to the center frequency and the data to be transmitted; and a frequency switching unit that switches the center frequency of the carrier wave on the basis of the specifying signal.
