The present invention provides a thermofixable photosensitive recording material comprising a substrate and a recording layer formed thereon in which a pyrazolone derivative represented by the formula (1 ) shown in the specification and functions as a color former, and a hydroquinone derivative and an acidic substance which function as a color forming auxiliary agent or fixing auxiliary agent are dissolved mutually therein. The invention provides a heat-sensitive recording material comprising (a) a base sheet and (b) a heat-sensitive recording layer formed on the base sheet and comprising a colorless or pale-colored basic dye, a color developing material which develops a color on contact with the dye, and a heat-fusible material, the recording material being characterized in that the basic dye comprises 3-di(n-butyl)amino-6-methyl-7-phenylaminofluoran, and that the heat-fusible material comprises di(p-methylbenzyl) oxalate.

A heat-sensitive recording material comprises a recording layer formed on a base sheet where the recording layer comprises a colorless or pale colored basic chromogenic material, a color developing material which develops a color by contacting with said chromogenic material, and a stabilizer. A heat sensitive recording material comprising a substrate and a heat sensitive recording layer thereon incorporating a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor reactive with the dye to form a color when contacted therewith, the recording material being characterized in that the material has a heat sensitive recording layer having incorporated therein (1) a heat-fusible substance exhibiting a weight reduction of at least 5% at 200.degree. C. based on the weight at 25.degree. C. under the condition of 20.degree. C./min in the rate of rise of temperature, (2) a wax, (3) a lubricant, and (4) an oil-absorbing pigment at least 85 ml/100 g in oil absorption.

Heat sensitive recording material

An improved heat-sensitive recording material having a substrate and a heat-sensitive recording layer formed thereon which contains a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color developer to color said basic dye upon contact by heating, said heat-sensitive recording layer being formed by applying a coating dispersion containing prismatic calcium carbonate comprising single particles each having such a particle size that the average length is 1 to 6 .mu.m and the average breadth is 0.1 to 0.6 .mu.m. The heat-sensitive recording material does not generate any foreign matter to contaminate the recording head and it does not cause reduction in the whiteness of the recording layer with the lapse of time.

Heat-sensitive recording material with heat-sensitive color developing

A heat-sensitive record material having on a base sheet a recording layer which comprises a basic colorless chromogenic material and an acceptor in the state of that the colorless chromogenic material is contacted with the acceptor by heating to produce color images. The recording layer comprises at least one phenol compound represented by the following formula (I) together with the colorless chromogenic material and the acceptor, ##STR1## wherein each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 radicals is hydrogen, C.sub.1-8 alkyl or C.sub.5-8 cycloalkyl, but at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 radicals is C.sub.5-8 cycloalkyl; and each of R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 radicals is hydrogen or C.sub.1-8 alkyl.

Heat-sensitive record material

A heat-sensitive recording material excellent in stability of recorded images is disclosed, which comprises a support having formed thereon a heat-sensitive recording layer comprising a colorless or pale-colored basic dye and a color developer capable of forming a color upon coming into contact with the basic dye, wherein said heat-sensitive recording layer further comprises at least one compound selected from the compounds represented by following formulae (I) and (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, and R.sub.8 independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms.

This invention provides a heat-sensitive recording material comprising a base sheet and a heat-sensitive record layer formed over the base sheet and containing a color forming material and a color developing material which undergoes a color forming reaction on contact with the color forming material, the heat-sensitive recording material being characterized in that a resin layer containing a cationic-modified starch is formed over the heat-sensitive record layer. The resin-coated heat-sensitive recording material of the invention is free of sticking, and resistant to diazo developer and suppresses the powder-coated phenomenon due to the bleeding of crystallized color forming material, color developing material and the like.

Novel phenolic compounds useful as a color developer suitable for satisfying the quality requirements of heat-sensitive recording materials are provided, which compounds are expressed by the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group and R.sub.2 represents hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; and also heat-sensitive recording materials usable in a broad application field are provided, which recording materials are provided with a heat-sensitive recording layer composed mainly of a colorless basic dye and the above compounds as a color developer by which the dye forms colors, overlaid on a substrate.

This invention provides a heat-sensitive record material comprising a base sheet and a heat-sensitive record layer formed over the base sheet and containing a colorless or pale-colored basic dye and a color developing material capable of forming a color when contacted with the dye, the record material being characterized in that the heat-sensitive record layer contains as the color developing material at least one compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, a group ##STR2## or a group ##STR3## wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each a hydrogen atom, chlorine atom, hydroxyl or alkoxy having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, the heat-sensitive record layer further containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of 1,1-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)cyclohexane and hindered phenol compounds.

A heat-sensitive material comprising a support having formed thereon a heat-sensitive recording layer, which has a high whiteness and is suitable for use in high-speed recording, is disclosed. The heat-sensitive recording layer comprises a colorless or pale-colored basic dye and a color developing material that, when heated, reacts with the basic dye to form a color, wherein the heat-sensitive recording layer further comprises at least one heat-fusible material having a melting point in the range of 70.degree. C. to 140.degree.
