A rolling bearing unit includes an outer race and an inner race between which a bearing space is defined; and a circular annular seal member covering a side opening of the bearing space. The circular annular seal member is constituted by a plurality of circumferentially divided seal member parts circumferentially adjacent to each other, and coupled together as a circular annular coupled member by coupling pieces. The seal member includes a distance adjuster capable of adjusting the circumferential distance between a pair of connection portions where the seal member parts are connected to one of the coupling pieces.

Rolling bearing unit

A rolling bearing is provided which includes an inner ring; an outer ring; rolling elements disposed in the bearing space; a cage rollably retaining the rolling elements; and a seal member made of a resin. The seal member includes a support frame, a plurality of window holes, and a filter closing the window holes. Lubricating oil flows through the bearing space to lubricate the interior of the rolling bearing. The cage is made of a magnetic material, and has a pulse ring integrally formed at an end of the cage. The rolling bearing further includes a magnetic rotation sensor mounted to the seal member so as to be capable of being opposed to any of recesses and protrusions of the pulse ring.

The present invention provides an abnormality detector for a rolling bearing including an outer race, and an inner race. The abnormality detector includes a filter configured to prevent metal pieces contained in lubricating oil flowing through the bearing space between the outer and inner races from passing through the filter, while allowing the lubricating oil to pass through the filter so as to flow to the outside space of the bearing space; an electric circuit including a pair of permanent magnets mounted, as a pair of electrodes, to the filter so as to be spaced apart from each other, and lines extending from the respective electrodes to a power source; and an output detector configured to detect a change in electrical output from the electric circuit when metal pieces adhere between the pair of permanent magnets, thereby detecting the state of metal pieces contained in the lubricating oil.

Rolling bearing with abnormality detector

A rolling bearing includes rolling elements between an outer race and an inner race, a resin seal ring covering an opening of at least one end of a bearing space, and a filter covering an oil hole defined in the resin seal ring for capturing foreign matter contained in lubricating oil. The filter and the resin seal ring are integrated by insert molding and are made of the same material. An annular lip portion, which is separate from the resin seal ring, is in contact with the outer race. An engaged portion on a radially inner side of the resin seal ring is engaged in a recess defined in the inner race such that, during thermal expansion of the resin seal ring, the engaged portion is engaged such that the resin seal ring is movable in a radial direction relative to the inner race.

Rolling bearing and a travel unit including rolling bearings

A rolling bearing includes an outer race, an inner race, rolling elements mounted between the outer race and the inner race, and a seal ring formed with an oil passage hole and covering at least one of the axial end openings of the bearing space of the bearing. A filter is mounted to the seal ring so as to cover the oil passage hole of the seal ring, and is configured to catch foreign matter contained in lubricant oil, and a magnetic member is mounted axially inwardly of, and adjacent to, the filter, and is configured to attract foreign matter to the magnetic member due to the magnetic force of the magnetic member.

Rolling bearing

A rolling bearing includes rolling elements incorporated between an outer race and an inner race, a resin seal ring covering the opening of at least one end of the bearing space, and a filter covering an oil hole formed in the seal ring for capturing foreign matter contained in lubricating oil. The filter and the resin seal ring are integrated by insert molding. The filter and the seal ring are made of the same material. An annular lip portion, which is separate from the seal ring, is in contact with the outer race. An engaged portion provided on the radially inner side of the seal ring is engaged in a recess formed in the inner race such that, during thermal expansion of the seal ring, the engaged portion is engaged such that the seal ring is movable in the radial direction relative to the inner race.

A rolling bearing is provided wherein one open end of a bearing space formed between an outer race and an inner race is covered with a sealing ring provided with oil flow holes provided with filters. The sealing ring includes engaging portions provided on the sealing ring in a protruding manner along a circumferential direction thereof, and engaged in recesses provided on the inner race. An annular member made of a material softer than that of the sealing ring is fixed to the sealing ring. The annular member includes a lip portion facing the outer race with a gap or kept in contact with the outer race. The sealing ring is formed by injection molding a resin, and weld lines generated during the injection molding are formed in portions of the sealing ring corresponding to radial directions along which the oil flow holes are not disposed.

A seal ring including filters is mounted to a rolling bearing. The bearing includes rolling elements disposed between an outer race and an inner race. The seal ring is made of a resin or a metal and covers an end opening of the bearing space defined between the outer race and the inner race. The filters are detachably fitted in oil flow holes formed in the seal ring. The filters catch foreign matter contained in lubricating oil. The seal ring is engaged by one of the outer race and the inner race. An annular member made of a material softer than the seal ring is fixed to the seal ring. The annular member serves as a lip facing the other of the inner and outer races with a gap left therebetween, or in abutment with the other of the inner and outer races.

A bearing assembly includes an IC tag with information to be reliably exchanged between the IC tag and an external reader/writer, and a rolling bearing including outer and inner races and rolling elements disposed between the outer and inner races. The IC tag communicates with the external reader/writer device without contacting the reader/writer device, is attached to a metal member of the rolling bearing, includes a tag antenna, and is configured so information can be exchanged between the tag antenna and a reader/writer antenna of the reader/writer device by forming a closed magnetic circuit between the tag antenna and the reader/writer antenna. The IC tag is received in a hole in a metal member surface. The tag antenna includes at least two protrusions facing the opening of the hole and arranged so magnetic fluxes leaving/entering the protrusions pass inside the edge defining the hole opening and extend outside the hole.

A comb-shaped resin retainer includes an annular section and a plurality of pillar sections which protrude to one side in the axial direction from one side of the annular section. A gap between the pillar sections, adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction serves as a pocket for retaining a cylindrical roller. A side face of the pillar section which serves as the inner face of the pocket is formed in a recessed shape. Each pillar section is tilted so as to become closer to the retainer axial center as the pillar section extends toward the tip of the pillar section. A flat portion is provided on the side face of the pillar section which serves as the inner face of the pocket. The flat portion continues axially from the tip portion of the pillar section to the base end portion thereof.

A cage of a cylindrical roller bearing includes an annular section, a plurality of pillars that extend axially in an integrated, continuous manner from the inside surface of the annular section, and a plurality of pockets, which are formed between the inner circumferential direction side faces of adjacent pillars, and hold the cylindrical rollers in a freely rotatable manner. The circumferential direction side faces of the pillars incorporate a circular arc surface formed in both the inside and outside diameter directions from the pocket PCD which passes through the pocket center of the pocket, and a roll-off section (lubricant reservoir) provided at the tip end inner circumferential section.
