The information display system includes an antenna, a display unit, a processing unit, and a housing. The antenna receives outside information from an outside of a vehicle. The display unit performs display to the outside of the vehicle. The processing unit is capable of executing outside-targeted display processing by which to cause the display unit to perform display associated with the outside information by controlling the display unit based on the outside information received by the antenna. The housing is installed on the vehicle after having the antenna, the display unit, and the processing unit assembled thereto and thus unitized. As a result, the information display system produces the effect of enabling beneficial information to be provided to the outside of the vehicle.

Information display system

A router unit with an antenna includes a router and an antenna structure. The antenna structure is mounted in a vehicle, and includes a dielectric body with a dielectric property and a planar element with a conductive property that is provided to the dielectric body. The router includes a transferring unit and a housing. The transferring unit transfers a signal to a transfer destination. The housing houses the transferring unit and includes a shield part with a conductive property for blocking noise that affects the transferring unit. The antenna structure is provided to the shield part, connected to the transferring unit, and transmits or receives a radio wave by using the shield part as a ground of the antenna structure.

An optical element module includes a lead frame an optical element mounted on the lead frame, a resin housing including an opening part, and a tube body. The resin housing contains a part of the lead frame on which the optical element is mounted. The tube body includes a tube part for receiving an optical fiber terminal, a lens arranged between the optical element and the optical fiber terminal, and a lid part which covers the opening part of the resin housing. The tube part, the lens and the lid part are integrally formed.

A sleeve for an optical connector and a method of manufacturing the sleeve is provided. A sleeve ( ) includes a core ( ) of transparent synthetic resin and a cladding ( ), also of transparent synthetic resin, having a smaller refractive index than the core. The core includes an optical waveguide ( ) extending in an optical axial direction to taper in a conical shape and a lens ( ) formed at the large diameter end of the waveguide. The lens receives light and converges it. There is a circular flange-like guide integral to the outer wall in the vicinity of the lens. The cladding ( ) is formed concentrically with the core in intimate contact with the outer wall of the core. The configuration improves the transmission efficiency of light and contributes to cost reduction of the sleeve.

A light emitting and receiving device consists of a light propagating member provided with a light emitting means for converting first electrical signals into first optical signals, and a light receiving means for receiving and converting second optical signals into second electrical signals. The light receiving means is disposed coaxially with an optical fiber. The light propagating member is situated between the optical fiber and the light receiving means. The light emitting means emits the first optical signals into the optical fiber, and the light propagating member receives from the optical fiber and propagates therethrough the second optical signals to the light receiving means. Loss of optical power is suppressed, and a downsized light emitting and receiving device is attained.

Light emitting and receiving device

A ferule structure for receiving an optical fiber composed of a core and a sheathing for covering the core exclusive of its end includes a core holder for holding the core; a sheath holder for holding the sheathing, communicating with the core holder and being located on an outer wall of the sheathing; and a metallic cylinder member for fixing the sheathing. The metallic member is formed integrally to the sheathing holder. The sheathing holder has a window from which the metallic cylinder member is partially exposed. The metallic cylinder member is caulked through the window so that the sheathing is compressed toward the core. In this configuration, the optical fiber and ferule can be surely secured to each other without using an adhesive.
