It is an object of the present invention to provide a modified polyolefin resin adhesive agent which is excellent in adhesiveness to a nonpolar substrate, particularly a poorly adhesive polyolefin substrate to which no surface treatment has been given and to a polar substrate, develops the excellent adhesiveness by drying or thermal compression bonding at relatively low temperature, and exhibits a low tack. That is, the present invention provides the modified polyolefin resin obtained by modifying a polyolefin resin with (A) a polarity imparting agent which is at least one selected from chlorine, unsaturated carboxylic acid, derivatives and anhydrides of unsaturated carboxylic acid and radical polymerizable monomers; and (B) an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer having an unsaturated bond at one end, and use of said modified polyolefin resin as an aqueous resin composition or an organic solvent resin composition.

Polymers having polyolefin segments as the side chain, with a structural unit represented by the following Formula (1): wherein A is an olefin polymer having a weight average molecular weight of 400 to 500,000; R is H, an alkyl group, or an aralkyl group; W and Z are each O, HN, or S; and x and y are each 0 or 1, with the proviso that at least one of them is 1. The polymer can be applied as an antistatic agent, a cosmetic additive, a releasing agent for toner, a pigment dispersant, a lubricant for vinyl chloride resins, a coating material, an emulsion composition and the like.

The aromatic diamine compound of the present invention is represented by the following formula (1), and from the aromatic diamine compound a polyimide having a repeating unit represented by the following formula (4), which has low-temperature adherability, can be obtained. In the formulas (1) and (4), n is an integer of 3 to 7, each R is independently an atom or a group selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom and a hydrocarbon group, the same or different two hetero atoms selected from nitrogen atoms and oxygen atoms bonded to each benzene ring are at the ortho- or meta-positions to each other on at least one benzene ring, and when n is 3, the hetero atoms are at the ortho- or meta-positions to each other on all the benzene rings. In the formula (4), Y is a tetravalent organic group.
