A parking assistance device that recognizes a parking stall where a vehicle is to be parked, includes: at least three cameras that take images of an outside of the vehicle; a setting unit that sets, based on a preset setting condition, a camera which is to take an image used for recognizing the parking stall; and a detection unit that detects the parking stall based on the image taken by the set camera.

A parking assist device includes: a storage unit that stores a position of a specific parking space which is one of parking spaces where a vehicle is capable of being parked; a detection unit that detects a parking space from a captured image obtained by imaging the vicinity of the vehicle by an imaging device; a determination unit that determines that the detected parking space is the specific parking space in a case where a distance between the position of the detected parking space and the position of the specific parking space is equal to or smaller than a first threshold value; and a display process unit that causes the detected parking space to be displayed on a display unit while being highlighted in a case where it is determined that the detected parking space is the specific parking space.

Herein disclosed is a displacement detecting mechanism for a hydraulic circuit of a fork lift, which comprises: at least one loading lever of said fork lift; at least one hydraulic control valve adapted to be operated by the loading lever, said hydraulic control valve having at least one spool adapted to be actuated by the loading lever; and at least one chopper controlling linear stroke type variable resistor for detecting the displacement of the spool, the variable resistor being attached directly to the hydraulic control valve.
