A gas sensor element () includes: a solid electrolyte body () having a bottomed tubular shape and a closed front end, and extending in the direction of an axial line O; an inside electrode () which is provided on an inner surface of the solid electrolyte body; an outside electrode () which is provided on an outer surface of the solid electrolyte body; and a porous protective layer () which covers the outside electrode, the porous protective layer has an inside region () which covers the outside electrode and an outside region () which covers the inside region and has a lower porosity than the inside region, and the outside region is formed of a sintered body of ceramic and glass.

Anti-seizing agent, sensor and assembly including sensor

A sensor including a tubular casing having an open rear end; and a first elastic member having a through hole so as to introduce ambient air into the casing and disposed so as to block the rear end opening of the casing. The sensor further includes: a holding inner tube that closely contacts an inner peripheral surface of the through hole; a ventilation filter that has permeability and a waterproofing property, the ventilation filter including a filter blocking portion that blocks a rear end opening of the holding inner tube, and a filter tubular portion connected to the filter blocking portion and surrounding at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface of a rear end portion of the holding inner tube in the peripheral direction; and a holding outer tube that includes a ventilation hole, an outer tube blocking portion covering the filter blocking portion, and an outer tube tubular portion connected to the outer tube blocking portion and surrounding at least a portion of the filter tubular portion in the peripheral direction.

Sensor

A gas sensor has a sensor element, extending axially, that detects a particular gas component in a gas under measurement, a metal housing causing the end of the sensor element to protrude farther than the end thereof to expose it to the gas under measurement and that surrounds the periphery of the sensor element and an outer tube disposed at the rear end inside the metal housing and a seal member that is disposed farther to the rear than the detection element and also inside the rear end of the outer tube, and that has formed therein a atmosphere-introduction hole passing therethrough in the axial direction, the gas sensor further having a crimped part, formed in the outer tube, for the purpose of holding the seal member a hollow-cylindrical member in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the atmosphere-introduction hole so as to oppose the crimped part, and a metal filter that joins to the hollow-cylindrical member at the rear end of the hollow-cylindrical member and also farther to the rear than the crimped part.

Gas sensor

A gas sensor having an axis including a detecting element; a metal shell; an outer cylinder; and a plug member, as defined herein, and the gas sensor includes a first protective member that covers an air vent of the plug member so as to protect the filter member, the protective member having a ventilation portion having an opening smaller than an opening of the air vent and at least partially overlapping the air vent in the axial direction, and at least one of the outer cylinder and the plug member is provided with a locking portion that limits rotation of the protective member around the axis.

A sintered body for thermistor element of the invention is a sintered body for thermistor element containing Sr, Y, Mn, Al, Fe, and O, wherein not only respective liquid crystal phases of a perovskite type oxide and a garnet type oxide are contained, but also a liquid crystal phase of at least one of an Sr&#x2014;Al based oxide and an Sr&#x2014;Fe based oxide. FeYOand/or AlYOis selected as the foregoing perovskite type oxide, and at least one member selected from YAlO, AlFeYO, and AlFeYOis selected as the foregoing garnet type oxide, respectively by the powder X-ray diffraction analysis.

Sintered compact for thermistor element, process for producing the same, thermistor element and temperature sensor

A sintered body for thermistor device comprising: at least one element selected from elements of group 3 in a periodic table proviso that La is excluded; at least one element selected from elements of group 2 in a periodic table; Mn; Al; and oxygen, and being substantially free from any transition metal other than Mn and the at least one element selected from elements of group 3 in the periodic table.
