A vehicle headlight (), which is one aspect of a vehicle illumination lamp, includes: light sources (R,G,B), and diffraction gratings (R,G,B) for diffracting light incident from the light sources (R,G,B). The light diffracted by the diffraction gratings (R,G,B) is irradiated in a predetermined light distribution pattern. A projection area (AR) to which are projected components (LC, LC, LC) advancing and passing through the diffraction gratings (R,G,B) among the light incident on the diffraction gratings (R,G,B) is positioned below the light distribution pattern and within a range (RNG) in which a field of view of a driver of a vehicle is obstructed by the vehicle.

A vehicle lamp is provided with a light source () that emits light in a predetermined wavelength band, a diffractive optical element () that diffracts the light emitted from the light source () to have a predetermined light distribution pattern, and a shade () that shields, of the light forming the predetermined light distribution pattern, at least part of the light forming the outer peripheral portion of the predetermined light distribution pattern, and the shade () shields the light forming the outer peripheral portion of the predetermined light distribution pattern over the entire circumference of the light distribution pattern.

Vehicle lamp

A vehicle lamp () includes a light source () that emits pieces of laser light (LR, LG, LB) having different wavelengths in a time division manner, and a plurality of diffraction gratings (R,G,B) corresponding to the pieces of laser light (LR, LG, LB) of the wavelengths, respectively. The laser light (LR, LG, LB) of the wavelengths emitted from the light source () are incident on the diffraction gratings (R,G,B) corresponding to the laser light (LR, LG, LB), and regions irradiated with light (DLR, DLG, DLB) emitted from the diffraction grating (R,G,B) overlap with each other.

A vehicle lamp configured to selectively perform a low-beam irradiation and a high-beam irradiation includes a projector lens, a light emitting element disposed behind the projector lens and configured to emit light for forming a low-beam light distribution pattern, a light emitting element disposed behind the projector lens and configured to emit light for forming an additional high-beam light distribution pattern, a upward reflecting surface (shade) disposed behind the projector lens and configured to form a cutoff line of the low-beam light distribution pattern, and an optical path change portion configured to change an optical path of a part of light emitted from the light emitting element so as to travel toward a portion between the low-beam light distribution pattern and the additional high-beam light distribution pattern.

Vehicle lamp and substrate

A vehicle headlamp includes an excitation light source; a light deflector configured to receive light from the excitation light source and two-dimensionally scan the light received from the excitation light source; and a projection lens that transmits the light scanned by the light deflector. The vehicle headlamp includes a first auxiliary lens that is arranged between the light deflector and the projection lens so as to transmit the light scanned by the light deflector toward the projection lens, and the first auxiliary lens has a negative force.

Vehicle headlamp

A lamp unit includes a light-emitting element array composed by a plurality of light-emitting elements, having respective individual irradiation regions constituting a high-beam light-distribution pattern and configured to be capable of being turned on individually, mounted in array on a substrate, a projection lens disposed in front of the light-emitting element array, and a reflector disposed below the light-emitting element array. Inter-light-emitting-element spacing within the light-emitting element array widens the more separated the elements are from the projection lens' optical axis.

Lamp unit and vehicle headlamp

Provided is a vehicular headlamp including an excitation light source, a phosphor excited by the excitation light source, a projection lens, and a scanning mechanism configured to receive light generated by an excitation light source array on a reflective surface of a reflector and scan the light toward the phosphor. The excitation light source is formed as the excitation light source array having a plurality of light emitting portions. Between the excitation light source array and the scanning mechanism, a lens array having a plurality of light condensing portions is provided. The plurality of light condensing portions are arranged to respectively face the plurality of light emitting portions, and configured to condense lights emitted from respective light emitting portions on the reflective surface, respectively, and arrange respective optical images of reflected lights on the phosphor.

Vehicular headlamp

A vehicle lamp includes a semiconductor laser element configured to emit laser light, a condenser lens configured to condense the laser light, a phosphor configured to form white light by converting wavelength of at least a portion of the laser light condensed, and a reflector configured to reflect the white light. A light transmitting portion is formed in a portion, at which an extension path obtaining by extending an optical path of the laser light before contacting the phosphor is intersected with the reflector, of the reflector. A light confinement part is formed above the light transmitting portion.

A vehicle lamp includes a lamp outer case, a reflection-type first lamp unit, a direct emission-type second lamp unit, and a compound lens. The lamp outer case includes a cover and a lamp housing. The first lamp unit has a first light source, a reflector and a shade and forms a collective optical system. The second lamp unit has a second light source, which directly emits light, and forms a defuse optical system. The compound lens is disposed along an inner surface of the cover, and has an outer surface facing the inner surface of the cover that is formed as a curved light emitting surface. The cover also includes first and second control portions. The light emitting surface has a shape which is displaced to the rear as it extends transversely outwards of a vehicle.

A light emitting lamp according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a laser light source, a scanning unit, which scans the laser light emitted from the laser light source so as to form a visible light distribution pattern, an obstacle detector, which detects an obstacle, if any, in front of a driver's vehicle, and a control unit, which adjusts the intensity of the laser light irradiated to an obstacle existent region, according to the distance from the driver's vehicle to the obstacle, based on the detection result of the obstacle detector.

Automotive lamp

An automotive lamp includes a first light source for emitting the red laser light, a second light source for emitting the green laser light a third light source for emitting the blue laser light, a light condensing unit for collecting at least the red laser light, the green laser light and the blue laser light so as to generate the white laser light, and a light distribution unit for distributing the white laser light so as to form a predetermined light distribution pattern.

A vehicle lamp includes a light emitting element and a light transmissive member disposed closer to a front side of the lamp than the light emitting element. The light transmissive member includes a front surface formed into a flat plane and a rear surface having a light entering area and an annular area situated on an outer circumferential side of the light entering area. The annular area has a plurality of curved planes and a reflecting film formed thereon. The light transmissive member has a lens portion provided on one of the front surface or the rear surface of the light transmissive member and configured to cause part of the light which is emitted from the light emitting element and enters the light transmissive member to be emitted towards the front side of the lamp as direct emitted light that is upwardly oriented.

A projection lens includes a rear face through which light emitted from a light source enters, and a front face from which the light is emitted in front of a vehicle in a predetermined light distribution pattern. The projection lens is configured such that, upon entering the projection lens, an incoming wavefront emitted from the light source is internally reflected by a first reflection region of the front face, a first intermediate wavefront generated by the internal reflection by the first reflection region is internally reflected by a second reflection region of the rear face, a second intermediate wavefront generated by the internal reflection by the second reflection region is refracted by a refraction region of the front face, and the refracted wavefront is emitted as an outgoing wavefront. The second reflection region is an optical surface determined based on the first intermediate wavefront and the second intermediate wavefront.

Projection lens and optical surface determination method

A vehicular headlamp () including a first lamp unit () provided with a first LED () and a first translucent member () internally reflecting light from the first LED () twice and then emitting the reflected light, a second lamp unit () provided with a second LED () and a second translucent member () internally reflecting light from the second LED () twice and then emitting the reflected light, and a third lamp unit () provided with a third LED () and a third translucent member () internally reflecting light from the third LED () twice and then emitting the reflected light. The first translucent member (), the second translucent member (), and the third translucent member () are coupled together at their ends in the vehicle width direction.
