A vehicle control device, a vehicle control method, a vehicle motion control system, and a lane estimation device according to the present invention obtain first information on lane markings defining a lane in which a vehicle travels based on external information obtained from an external recognition unit, obtain second information on a curvature of the lane based on information on a road shape obtained from a road shape information acquisition unit, obtain third information on a behavior of the vehicle based on a physical quantity that is related to a motion state of the vehicle and obtained from a vehicle motion state detection unit, and estimate lane information including information on curvatures of the lane markings and information on relative positions of the vehicle with respect to the lane markings based on the first information, the second information, and the third information.

An electric booster including an input member that is advanceably/retractably moved according to a brake pedal operation. An electric motor of an electric actuator advanceably/retractably moves a power piston. A master pressure control unit sets a target movement amount of the power piston according to an amount of a movement of the input member that is caused by the brake pedal, and controls the electric motor to move the power piston so as to achieve the target movement amount, thereby causing a brake hydraulic pressure to be generated in a master cylinder. The master pressure control unit includes a reaction force generation portion, which changes a characteristic of a hydraulic reaction force applied to the brake pedal. The reaction force generation portion corrects the target movement amount of the power piston according to a temporal change in the movement amount of the input member.

A management apparatus is provided for managing devices connected to a computer using a layered structure including a managing section for setting information associated with each of the devices by recording it in a setting information database using a layered structure; an adding section, if an existing device has been replaced by a new device for adding the setting information for the new device into the setting information database; a condition deciding section to determine whether the existing device and the new device have a predetermined relationship; and a changing section, if the existing device and the new device have the predetermined relationship, for managing the setting information for a low level device, which is a device managed as a lower layer of the existing device, as the lower layer of setting information for the new device and recording it in the setting information database.
