A value of a current corresponding to a relationship between an illumination intensity instruction value and illumination intensity is calculated based on a previously obtained relationship between a current flowing through a light emitting device and the illumination intensity. A calibration table including the illumination intensity instruction value, the calculated value of the current, and the illumination intensity is created. A required illumination intensity is calculated based on exposure time per frame during autofocusing. An illumination intensity instruction value corresponding to the required illumination intensity is calculated using the calibration table. The calculated illumination intensity instruction value is set using the calibration table such that brightness of a measured image remains consistent even when a frame rate is changed.

A vision measuring device includes: an imaging device which images a workpiece; an illumination device which irradiates the workpiece with light; a position control system which controls an in-focus position of the imaging device and outputs the in-focus position as information representing a position in an in-focus axis direction; and a control device which, when the position control system controls the in-focus position, controls the frame rate of the imaging device, and controls at least one of the imaging device and the illumination device such that an amount of light to be received by the imaging device becomes substantially constant.

Vision measuring device

An optical measuring apparatus including: a measuring apparatus body, a lighting unit, a lighting controller. The lighting unit is demountably mounted on the measuring apparatus and has an LED as a light source. The lighting controller is configured to control the lighting unit according to a light intensity command value. The lighting unit includes a storage unit in which a calibration value is stored. The calibration value generates a light intensity corresponding to the light intensity command value. The lighting controller is configured to read calibration values corresponding to the light intensity command value out from the storage unit of the lighting unit upon receipt of the light intensity command value, and controls the LED on the basis of the calibration value.

An illuminating device includes: a calibrating output unit for reading an output current command value corresponding to a specific brightness command value and for outputting the output current command value to a light source; a ratio calculating unit for calculating a ratio between an illuminance of illuminating light emitted from the light source and a prescribed illuminance value prescribed for the specific brightness command value; an illuminance calculating unit for calculating each illuminance when each output current command value matched with each brightness command value is outputted; and a calibrating unit for calibrating a relationship between each brightness command value and each output current command value in a conversion table such that each illuminance at the time when each output current command value matched with each brightness command value is outputted is set to each prescribed illuminance value prescribed for each of the brightness command values.
