A light shielding component with low gloss and high optical concentration independent of the film thickness of the light shielding layer is provided. The light shielding component includes a substrate film; and a light shielding layer formed on at least one surface of the substrate film. The maximum height Rz measured according to JIS B0601:2001 of the surface forming the light shielding layer is set to 1 μm or more and 5 μm or less, and the average length Rsm of the contour curve elements is set to 40 μm or less. Preferably, the light shielding layer includes a particle group with a particle size of 2 μm˜6 μm and a particle group with a particle size of 0.06 μm˜0.4 μm.

Ink-jet recording sheet and liquid coating composition therefor

Provided by the invention is a recording film suitable for recording by using an ink-jet printer capable of giving very sharp printed images and having advantages of rapid drying of the water-base printing ink thereon and little re-transfer of the printed images directly after printing onto the surface coming into contact with the printed surface of the recording film. The recording film is a layered sheet material comprising (A) a base film of a plastic resin; (B) an ink-receptive layer formed from a mixture of a polyvinyl alcohol and a polyvinyl pyrrolidone; and (C) an overcoating layer on the ink-receptive layer. The overcoating layer is formed from a mixture of a water-insoluble polyvinyl acetal resin, fine particles of an acrylic resin and a polyvinyl pyrrolidone.

Ink-jet recording film

An ink-jet recording film capable of exhibiting excellent ink fixing behavior in ink-jet printing with a water-base ink along with good water resistance of the recording layer, which has a double-layered structure, as formed on the surface of a plastic substrate film, consisting of (A) an ink-receptive layer comprising a water-soluble resin, e.g., polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetal and/or polyvinyl pyrrolidone, a surface-roughening agent which is a combination of two different silica powders distinguishable in the low and high values of oil absorption in a specified weight proportion and a crosslinking agent for the water-soluble resin and (B) an overcoating layer for dot-profile control consisting of an acrylic resin of the quaternary ammonium salt type.
