A technique for extracting an objective component from a sample solution and obtaining the component in the form of equally separated powder aliquots is provided. A peak detectordetects the start point of the peak of the objective component on a chromatogram created from detection signals produced by a detector. Then, a controllerimmediately changes a valveso that the eluate will flow to a trap column. A peak area processorcalculates the peak area of the objective component in real time. When the calculated area has exceeded a threshold, the controllerchanges the valveso that the eluate will flow to the next trap column. Thus, the trap columnstoare sequentially selected to divide the peak into one or more portions with the same area so that the objective component in the eluate will be sequentially captured by the trap columnsto. Subsequently, the objective component is eluted from each trap column, and then the solvent is vaporized, to obtain powder of the objective component.

Preparative liquid chromatograph system and preparative separation/purification method using the same

A controller of each liquid chromatograph includes: a management information collector for collecting and retaining management information on each section included in the liquid chromatograph; a first terminal for transmitting/receiving the information in the management information collector to/from an external device, the first terminal including a network interface for managing analyzers as a first interface; an analyzer controller for controlling an analysis operation of the liquid chromatograph and collecting/retaining analysis information; and a second terminal for transmitting/receiving the information in the analyzer controller to/from a PC as an external device, the second terminal provided separately from the first terminal and including a control interface for controlling analyzers provided separately from the network interface for managing analyzers.

Analyzer and information management method of the same

A built-in analyzer controller including: a device controlling circuit for controlling the hardware of an analyzer; a network interface circuit for connecting the analyzer to a network; and built-in programs including a server program for performing a communication through the network interface using a predetermined communication protocol between the analyzer and an external terminal. The server program performs the processes of: sending information of the operating status of the analyzer to the external terminal on receiving a request for the same from the external terminal; and setting a control parameter of the analyzer using the device controlling circuit on receiving a request for setting the control parameter from the external terminal. Using the analyzer controller, the user can monitor and control an analyzer or analyzers connected to a LAN from a remote place, without requiring special programs, and at low cost.
