A method of assembling a magnetic tape cartridge where an opening, through which a magnetic tape is drawn out, is provided in part of a sidewall of a cartridge case across a lower half and an upper half of the cartridge case. A slide door that opens and closes the opening is mounted between guide portions provided in the cartridge lower and upper halves, while stressing the slide door with a spring member toward a position in which the opening is closed. During mounting, the slide door is stressed with the spring member toward the position in which the opening is closed by fitting a lower edge of the slide door into the guide portion of the lower half A mounting position of the slide door is retained by holding an end of the slide door facing a direction in which the slide door moves to close the opening.

Method for assembling a magnetic tape cartridge

A magnetic tape cartridge comprises: a reelaround which a magnetic tape MT is wound; a cartridge casefor accommodating the reelin a locked state; and a release padinserted into a cup-shaped hubA of the reelin a locked state of the reel. The release padincludes a pad bodyA having a plurality of corners to be faced proximately to the inner peripheral surfaceC of the cup-shaped hubA, and a plurality of lock releasing pinsB projecting downwardly from a bottom surface of the pad bodyA at the respective corners and inserted through a bottom surface of the cup-shaped hubA. The release padis provided with a flankE extending from each corner downwardly through the respective lock release pinB so that an assembling clearance is formed with respect to an inner periphery of a flangeG position in an open side of the cup-shaped hubA.

Magnetic tape cartridge

A magnetic tape cartridge includes an openingC through which a magnetic tape is drawn out, and a slide doorthat slides along a sidewallD provided with the openingC to open and close the openingC. The cartridge having an assembly support device that guides a distal end of a spring support rod onto a support rod receiving block when the slide door is fitted in a lower half of the cartridge case. A proximal end of the spring support rod projects from the slide door, and a compression coil spring is wound around the spring support rod.

Assembly supporting device for magnetic tape cartridge

A magnetic tape cartridge includes an openingC through which a magnetic tape is drawn out, and a slide doorthat slides along a sidewallD provided with the openingC to open and close the openingC.
