An underseat structure of a road vehicle which protects an occupant from engine heat while enhancing the maintenance property of a vehicle which includes an engine supported on a vehicle body frame, and an engine oil supply pipe and an oil level gauge mounted on the engine, wherein the engine is disposed below at least one seat. An inner cover is disposed between the at least one seat and the engine and a maintenance lid is provided for allowing maintenance of the engine oil supply pipe and the oil level gauge formed on the inner cover with the inner cover being detachably mounted on the vehicle body frame.

Under-seat structure of vehicle

To provide an intake structure for a seat type vehicle which makes it possible to shorten the air intake path and to prevent the taken-in air from being heated with the heat of an engine. An intake structure for a seat type vehicle is provided in which an engine and a fuel tank are mounted side by side in the lateral direction of the vehicle under the occupant seats attached onto a frame. An air cleaner is arranged to the rear of the engine with an intake port for the air cleaner being provided under the occupant seats and above the fuel tank.

The present invention shortens an intake duct while enabling an intake of cleaner air into the inside of an air cleaner. In a vehicle in which vehicle body mounting parts such as an engine, an air cleaner and the like are supported on a vehicle body frame, a cabin is formed by mounting a pair of left and right seats on the vehicle body frame with the engine being arranged below the seats. An air cleaner is arranged behind the engine with an intake duct for sucking outside air being connected to the air cleaner. The intake duct extends frontwardly from the air cleaner while avoiding a cylinder portion of the engine with a distal end portion thereof being opened in a cabin side adjacent to the at least one seat.

Drive switching mechanism for vehicle

An air cleaner device for a vehicle is provided with an air cleaner body containing an air cleaner element and a snorkel connected to the air cleaner body to introduce the outside air into the air cleaner body. The snorkel extends forward of the vehicle past a side of a cylinder portion which projects upward from an engine, and a front end of the snorkel opens between right and left seats of the vehicle. With this configuration, even if the air cleaner body of the air cleaner device should be flooded, it is difficult for water to enter into the interior. Further, it is difficult for the air cleaner body to be influenced by heat, and difficult for dust to get into the air cleaner body.

Air cleaner device in vehicle

To provide a cooling apparatus for a vehicle enabling protection of a cooling device by effectively utilizing a vehicle frame. The cooling apparatus, which is attached to a vehicle including a vehicle frame and a steering member provided at a front upper portion of the vehicle frame, has a heat exchanger, which performs thermal exchange with the outside air. The heat exchanger is provided within an area formed with a vertical plane passing through a front end of the vehicle frame and a horizontal plane passing through an upper end of the steering member.

An extension portion extending outwardly is integrally formed on the edge of an end portion of an exhaust pipe; a collar is fixed on the outer periphery of the end portion of the exhaust pipe by caulking; and the edge of the outer end of the collar is abutted against the extension portion. Structure of a connection portion of an exhaust pipe for an engine and a method for providing the same

To provide a connection portion of an exhaust pipe for an engine, which is intended to rigidly connect the exhaust pipe to an exhaust port of the engine, to prevent gas leakage by eliminating occurrence of clearance at the connecting portion, to reduce the flow resistance of exhaust gas in the exhaust pipe, and to reduce the production cost of the connection portion. An extension portion extending outwardly is integrally formed on the edge of an end portion of an exhaust pipe; a collar is fixed on the outer periphery of the end portion of the exhaust pipe by caulking; and the edge of the outer end of the collar is abutted against the extension portion.

Heat shielding panels are attached to exhaust pipes and a silencer by using small set springs and large set springs. Distortion on a heat shielded panel, which would be caused when attaching a heat shielding panel through welding, is not caused. A process for positioning a bracket, which would be required when welding a bracket to an exhaust pipe, can be omitted. Moreover, as no bolt and nut is used, the number of parts can be reduced. As a result, productivity can be improved and an increase in the cost can be suppressed.

Cover member attachment structure

A vehicular air cleaner having an air inlet and an air outlet formed in one side of an air cleaner case. An air intake duct is connected to the air inlet through a duct seal, and a connecting tube connected to a carburetor is connected directly to the air outlet. The air cleaner device is provided with a combined seal-tube having an integral duct seal and connecting tube.

Vehicular air cleaner device

To improve the low-temperature resistance of a blow-by gas treatment device. An air cleaner is connected through a carburetor to the intake side of a cylinder portion constituting an engine in a four-wheel buggy. A blow-by gas induction pipe is provided to connect a crankcase and one side surface of the air cleaner, so as to induce a blow-by gas from the crankcase to a return chamber defined in the air cleaner at one side portion thereof. An exhaust pipe extends rearwardly from the exhaust side of the cylinder portion along a part of the induction pipe, and is connected to a muffler. The muffler is located in the vicinity of the return chamber in the air cleaner, so as to warm the return chamber by the heat radiated from the muffler, thereby ensuring good returnability of the blow-by gas even at low temperatures. The exhaust pipe similarly warms the induction pipe.
