A vehicle drive device includes a generator to output AC power, a converter that converts the AC power into DC power, and an inverter that converts the DC power into AC power. An electric motor is driven by the AC power output by the inverter, and an inverter controller (i) calculates a control command value in accordance with an operation command and (ii) controls the inverter based on the calculated value. A value obtained by dividing (i) an amount of the change in the control command value in a case of an increase of the operation command by (ii) a period from when the operation command changes to when the control command value reaches the control command value corresponding to post-change operation command has a negative correlation with the rotational speed of the electric motor at the time when the operation command changes.

Vehicle drive device

An electric vehicle control device includes a first inverter controlling a first group defined by induction motors, and a second inverter controlling a second group defined by induction motors. The first inverter and the induction motors of the first group are connected to each other by a first conductor. The second inverter and the induction motors of the second group are connected by a second conductor. A first length is equal to or less than three times the average value of a second length and a third length. The first length is an inter-center distance between the first conductor and the second conductor, the second length is the maximum length of a conductor portion of the first conductor in the cross section of the first conductor, and the third length is the maximum length of a conductor portion of the second conductor in the cross section of the second conductor.

Electric vehicle control device

A main converter (i) converts AC power from a generator at a primary terminal into DC power at a secondary terminal, an internal combustion engine driving the generator to generate the AC power, or (ii) converts DC power at the secondary terminal into AC power and supplies the AC power to the generator. A first inverter is connected to the secondary terminal of the main converter. A step-down circuit steps down a voltage of the DC power output by the main converter and supplies the stepped-down DC power to a power storage device. The generator, using the power storage device as an electric power source, operates as an electric motor to start the internal combustion engine. After the internal combustion engine is started, the DC power output by the main converter is supplied to the first inverter, stepped down by the step-down circuit, and supplied to the power storage device.

Drive control device and drive device for railroad cars

A bridge circuit includes a first leg and a second leg arranged in parallel between the first node and the third node. A clamp circuit includes a third leg including a first bidirectional switch disposed between a fourth node that is a midpoint of the first leg and a fifth node that is a midpoint of the second leg. A first reactor is connected with the fourth node and a sixth node, and a second reactor is connected with a fifth node and a seventh node. A fourth leg includes a second bidirectional switch disposed between the second node and the fourth node or the fifth node.

According to a first embodiment, there is provided a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material-containing layer containing a first active material having a spinel type crystal structure. The positive electrode satisfies the formulas (1) to (3) when combined with a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material-containing layer containing a first active material having a spinel type crystal structure: 0.5&#x2264;a1/b1&#x2264;1.5 (1); 0.4&#x2264;a2/b2&#x2264;1.4 (2); and 0.5&#x2264;a3/b3&#x2264;2.3 (3), where a1 and b1 are a pore volume per 1 g weight, a2 and b2 are a pore specific surface area, and a3 and b3 are a median diameter in pore distribution, for the positive and negative electrode active material-containing layers, respectively.

Positive electrode, electrode group and nonaqueous electrolyte battery

A power conversion system includes one power conversion device and one or more power conversion devices. The power conversion device includes a power converter that controls output voltage to be a preset voltage to apply the preset voltage to a load on the basis of an output from a power supply. The power conversion device controls the power converter so that a detected value of the first voltage detected by a voltage detector becomes a preset voltage value. The power conversion devices each include a power converter that controls output current to be a preset current to supply the preset current to the load on the basis of an output from a power supply. The power conversion devices each controls operation of the power converter on the basis of the detected value of the first voltage. The power conversion device controls operation of the power converter by changing the first voltage.

Power conversion system

According to one embodiment, a nonaqueous electrolyte battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte is provided. The positive electrode includes an active material including LiMnAlMO(&#x2212;0.1&#x2264;x&#x2264;1, 0.20&#x2264;y&#x2264;0.35, 0&#x2264;z&#x2264;0.1, M is at least one metal selected from Mg, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Nb, Mo, and Sn). The negative electrode includes an active material including a first oxide represented by LiTiO(&#x2212;0.5&#x2264;a&#x2264;3) and a second oxide of at least one element selected from Al, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Ni, Zn, and Zr. The second oxide is included in an amount of from 300 ppm to 5000 ppm relative to a weight of the first oxide.

Nonaqueous electrolyte battery and battery pack

The nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to one embodiment includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The positive electrode contains a positive electrode active material containing manganese-containing composite oxide. The negative electrode contains a negative electrode active material selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide and titanium-containing composite oxide. A ratio p/n of a capacity p per unit area of the positive electrode to a capacity n per unit area of the negative electrode is in the range of 0.8 or more and 1 or less.

A propulsion control apparatus includes a first power converter that operates as a DC/AC converter, a DC/DC converter, or an AC/DC converter, a second power converter, a first control device that controls operations of a first motor and the first power converter, and a second control device that controls operations of a second motor and the second power converter, wherein a power storage device is configured to be able to connect to a second input/output end side and functions as a direct-current power supply that is charged with direct-current power supplied from the second input/output end side or discharges direct-current power to the second input/output end side.

Propulsion control apparatus for railroad vehicle

A transmitting circuit is connected to a power line at current flow-in sides to solar battery strings, and a receiving circuit is connected to the power line at current flow-out sides to the solar battery strings. An attenuating circuit connected in series to a bypass diode is provided in a bypass circuit. The transmitting circuit transmits a periodic signal of a predetermined frequency to the power line. The receiving circuit receives via the solar battery strings a transmission signal transmitted from the transmitting circuit to the power line. A determining circuit determines that, when it is detected that an amplitude of a transmission signal received by the receiving circuit is attenuated by a predetermined value or more, direct-current power is conducted to the bypass circuit.

There is provided a power conversion system, and a photovoltaic inverter includes a communication unit that broadcast-transmits a setting request signal of a predetermined communication address. The photovoltaic inverter includes a display unit that displays the predetermined communication address indicated by the setting request signal, and an address setting unit that generates a setting completion signal indicating that the predetermined communication address has been set as the communication address of the photovoltaic inverter if an input accepting unit accepts an input such that the predetermined communication address is set. An address management unit of the photovoltaic inverter generates a setting request signal indicating a communication address other than the predetermined communication address if the setting completion signal for the predetermined communication address is received.

Power conversion system and communication address setting method

First and second capacitors are connected in series between positive/negative electrodes of a DC power source. A first terminal of a reactor and a first terminal of an electric power system are connected to the interconnection point between the first and second capacitors. A first switch section has first and second terminals respectively connected to the positive electrode of the DC power source and a second terminal of the reactor. A second switch section has first and second terminals respectively connected to the negative electrode of the DC power source and the second terminal of the reactor. A third switch section has first and second terminals respectively connected to the second terminal of the reactor and a second terminal of the electric power system. A fourth switch section has first and second terminals respectively connected to the second terminal of the reactor and the second terminal of the electric power system.

Interconnection inverter device

A grounding wire from a commercial power system is connected to a series-connection end of a series connection between two capacitors connected in series between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. A current detector monitors an output current of an inverter unit in which four switching elements and two diodes convert voltages at both ends of the series circuit of the capacitors at three levels. An operation control circuit controls a generation of a PWM signal to be applied to the four switching elements, to minimize a difference between a current value detected by the current detector and a target current value.

DC-AC inverter powering a single phase commercial power system

In a zero-phase current detecting apparatus, a feedback loop is made up of a pulse generating unit, a current detecting unit, a peak detecting unit, an adding unit, and a current regulating unit. The adding unit outputs a difference between a target value and a peak value detected by the peak detecting unit. A zero-phase current is detected based on the difference output from the adding unit as a result of regulation of the peak value so as to be the target value in the adding unit.
