Aniline derivatives such as those represented by the formula shown, for example, have good solubility with respect to organic solvents, and are able to provide an organic electroluminescent element having excellent luminance characteristics when a thin film containing said aniline derivatives is used as a charge transporting substance in a hole injection layer. (In the formula, DPA represents a diphenylamino group.)

Aniline derivatives such as are represented by, e.g., the formula have excellent solubility in organic solvents and make it possible to obtain an organic EL element having exceptional brightness characteristics when a thin film containing these derivatives as a charge transport material is applied to a hole injection layer.

Aniline derivative, charge-transporting varnish and organic electroluminescent device

A charge transport material containing a charge transport substance that is composed of a compound represented by formula (1) and another charge transport substance that is composed of a charge transport compound having a molecular weight of 200-9,000 exhibits good solubility in an organic solvent. A charge transport varnish, from which a charge transport thin film having excellent charge transport properties, flatness and uniformity is formed with good reproducibility, is able to be prepared by dissolving the above-described charge transport material in an organic solvent. 

Charge transport material

Aniline derivatives such as those represented by the formulas shown, for example, have good solubility in organic solvents, and are able to provide organic electroluminescent elements having excellent longevity when thin films containing said aniline derivatives as charge transporting substances are used for hole injection layers. 

This charge-transporting material, which includes a charge-transporting substance, halo-tetracyanoquinodimethane, and a complexing agent comprising an amide compound such as 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone, for example, and capable of forming a complex with halo-tetracyanoquinodimethane, and in which the halo-tetracyanoquinodimethane and complexing agent form a complex, makes it possible to provide a thin film having excellent charge-transporting properties and to realize an organic EL element having low drive voltage when said thin film is applied to a hole injection layer.

Charge-transporting material

A thin film that has high flatness and high charge transport properties and enables an organic EL element to achieve excellent luminance characteristics if applied thereto can be obtained by using a charge-transporting varnish which contains a charge-transporting substance, an organosilane compound that is composed of a polymer prepared in advance by subjecting an alkoxysilane compound to hydrolysis-condensation and having a weight average molecular weight of 500-10,000, and an organic solvent, said alkoxysilane compound containing at least one compound selected from among alkoxysilane compounds represented by formulae (1-1) and (1-2). SiR(OR)(1-1) SiR2(OR)(1-2) (In the formulae, each Rindependently represents an alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, which is substituted by Z, or the like; each Rindependently represents an alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, which may be substituted by Z; and each of Zand Zrepresents a halogen atom or the like.).

Charge-transporting varnish

A charge-transporting varnish including charge-transporting material comprising N,N'-diaryl benzidine derivatives represented by formula (1), a charge-accepting dopant comprising heteropoly acid, and an organic solvent. [In the formula, Rto Rindependently represent hydrogen, a halogen, an alkyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkenyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms or an alkynyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms; and Arand Arindependently represent groups represented by formulas (2) or (3). (In the formula, Rto Rindependently represent hydrogen, a halogen, an alkyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkenyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms or an alkynyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms; and Xand Xindependently represent hydrogen, a halogen, an alkyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkenyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkynyl having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, diphenylamino, 1-naphthylphenylamino, 2-naphthylphenylamino, di(1-naphthyl)-amino, and di(2-naphthyl)-amino or 1-naphthyl-2-naphtylamino.)]

A triphenylamine derivative represented by formula (1) exhibits good solubility in an organic solvent and allows an organic EL element having excellent luminance characteristics to be achieved when formed into a thin film and applied to a positive hole injection layer. (In the formula, Rto Rmutually independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, an amino group, an aldehyde group, a hydroxyl group, a thiol group, a carboxylic acid group, and the like; and l, m, and n mutually independently represent an integer 1 to 5.)

Triphenylamine derivative and use therefor

This charge-transporting varnish, which contains a solvent, an electron-accepting dopant substance, and an aryldiamine compound represented by formula (1), imparts a charge-transporting thin film that has high transparency and can evince favorable element characteristics when applied to an organic EL element. (In the formula: R-Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, a hydroxyl group, a thiol group, a phosphate group, a sulfone group, a carboxyl group, an alkoxy group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or the like; R-Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom, a phenyl group, a naphthyl group, a pyridyl group, a pyrimidinyl group, a pyridazinyl group, a pyrazinyl group, a furanyl group, a pyrrolyl group, a pyrazolyl group, an imidazolyl group, a thienyl group, or the like; and n represents an integer from 2 to 5.)

A composition for forming an antistatic film, includes: an oligomer compound of Formula (1A): (where Ris a hydrogen atom or a group of Formula (2), each of Rand Ris independently a hydrogen atom, a group of Formula (3), or a group of Formula (4), at least one of the plurality of Rs is a sulfo group, a and b are positive integers satisfying 2&#x2266;(a+b)&#x2266;6; and each of a plurality of xs is independently an integer from 0 to 4): (where n is an integer satisfying 1&#x2266;n&#x3c;(a+b+4); a, b, a plurality of Rs, and x are the same as those in Formula (1A); and each of a plurality of ys is independently an integer from 0 to 5); and water.

Composition for forming antistatic film and oligomer compound

Disclosed is an arylsulfonic acid compound characterized by being represented by formula (1). By using this compound as an electron-acceptor material, highly uniform film formability can be achieved. By using a thin film containing the arylsulfonic acid compound in an OLED device or a PLED device, there can be obtained excellent EL device characteristics such as low driving voltage, high luminous efficiency and long life. (In the formula, X represents O, S or NH; Ar represents an aryl group; and n represents the number of sulfonic groups, which is an integer of 1-4.).
