An image formation device includes a plurality of nozzles, a processor which forms an image on the basis of print data, and a memory which stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, perform processes including, performing first ejection control which ejects a first amount of the ink at a timing of one of a forward path and a return path in the main scan direction, when printing is performed by a multi-pass method in which each of pixel arrays is printed by a plurality of main scans and, in each of the plurality of main scans, the ink is ejected onto the same pixel array from the respectively different nozzles, and performing second ejection control configured to eject a second amount of the ink at a timing different from the previous timing of the ejection of the ink, the second amount being smaller than the first amount.

An image formation device includes a plurality of nozzles arranged in a sub scan direction and configured to eject ink, a processor, and a memory configured to store computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, perform processes including, performing a determination control configured to determine whether an unstable ejection condition, under which the ejection of the ink from the nozzles becomes unstable, is satisfied, and performing a first print control configured to cause printing to be performed by a multi-pass method when it is determined that the unstable ejection condition is satisfied.

Image forming device

As first determination processing, a CPU of a printer determines whether a temperature T, which is based on an input value from a temperature detector, is higher than a reference temperature Tw. In a case where the CPU has not determined, in the first determination processing, that the temperature T is higher than the reference temperature Tw, the CPU, after cover processing and without performing soak processing, performs first cap processing, which puts a nozzle face into a state in which it is not soaked by a cleaning liquid. In a case where the CPU has determined, in the first determination processing, that the temperature T is higher than the reference temperature Tw, the CPU, after the cover processing, performs the soak processing, which supplies the cleaning liquid to a cap, thus putting the nozzle face into a state in which it is soaked by the cleaning liquid. The possibility that a discharge failure will occur in a nozzle of the printer is therefore reduced.

A print device includes a head, a recovery portion, a processor, and a memory. The head is configured to eject a first ink for base printing and a second ink for image printing. The first ink is ejected onto a print medium and the second ink is ejected on the base printing to print image printing. The recovery portion is configured to perform recovery processing. The recovery processing recovers an ejection performance of the first ink of the head. The memory stores computer-readable instructions. When the computer-readable instructions are executed by the processor, the processor acquires an integrated value of an ejection amount of the first ink. And the processor also determines, based on the acquired integrated value, whether to perform the recovery processing by the recovery portion.

A print device includes a head, a recovery portion, and a processor. The head ejects an ink onto a print medium. The recovery portion performs recovery processing to recover an ejection performance of the ink of the head. The processor acquires an integrated value of an ejection amount of the ink, and determines when the integrated value is equal to or more than a reference value, execution of the recovery processing including wiping of a nozzle surface. A nozzle hole is formed in the nozzle surface and ejects the ink. The processor acquires a temperature correlation value corresponding to an environmental temperature, and sets the reference value based on the acquired temperature correlation value such that the reference value when the environmental temperature is a first temperature is smaller than the reference value when the environmental temperature is a second temperature. The second temperature is higher than the first temperature.

A nozzle arrangement of a head portion of a printer includes nozzle arrays arranged in a first direction. Each of the nozzle arrays has nozzles arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction. Each of the nozzles is provided to eject liquid. The printer includes a set of liquid passages provided to supply the liquid to the nozzle arrangement. The set of liquid passages has liquid passages interconnected via a communication path. The nozzles in each of the nozzle arrays is connected to a corresponding one of the liquid passages. In selective flushing that is performed a plurality of times, among the nozzles configuring the nozzle arrays, liquid is ejected from the nozzles arranged in a first region adjacent to the communication path.

Print device and non-transitory computer readable medium

A nozzle arrangement has nozzle arrays arranged in a first direction. Liquid passages are interconnected via a communication path and arranged in the first direction. Nozzles in each one of the nozzle arrays are connected to a corresponding one of the liquid passages. Each of the liquid passages has a first end connected to a supply port and a second end connected to the communication path, in a second direction. The controller controls a flushing operation ejecting liquid from the nozzles as waste liquid. The controller controls the head portion to perform a selective flushing operation. This disclosure discloses an ink cartridge comprises a housing; a reservoir portion disposed so that an end portion on one side in a thickness direction contacts the housing; a detection plate that is supported with respect to the housing at a lower end portion, comes in contact with the other side of the reservoir portion in the thickness direction, and rotates in accordance with an ink volume, thereby executing a display in accordance with the ink volume by that rotational position; and a collapse prevention rib that creates a predetermined gap between an end portion on one side in the thickness direction and a left wall portion of the housing, extends above the detection plate, and causes the upper portion of the reservoir portion to be inserted through the gap, thereby suppressing the displacement of the reservoir portion to the other side in the thickness direction.
