LSD1-selective inhibitor having lysine structure

The present invention identifies a compound which binds to the PAH1 domain of mSin3B that specifically binds to neural restrictive silencer factor NRSF, and uses the compound as a prophylactic and/or a therapeutic for diseases associated with abnormal expression of neural restrictive silencer factor NRSF/REST or abnormal expression of genes targeted by NRSF/REST, such as Huntington's disease, medulloblastoma and neuropathic pain. The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a substance capable of binding to the PAH1 domain of mSin3B, e.g., a compound represented by the following formula (1), a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, or a pharmacologically acceptable ester thereof: wherein n represents 0 or 1; R, R, R, Rand Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or a functional group; Y represents a single bond, a carbonyl group, &#x2014;CONH&#x2014;, &#x2014;NHCO&#x2014; or a sulfonyl group; and Z represents a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group which may have a substituent, an amino group which may have a hydrocarbon group or an aromatic hydrocarbon group, or a nitrogen and oxygen-containing heterocyclic group which may have a substituent.

Use of compound binding to mSin3B that specifically binds to neuron restrictive silencer factor (NRSF)

Disclosed is a novel aralkyl carboxylic acid compound which has an agonistic activity on GPR-120 and/or GPR-40, particularly GPR-120, and is therefore useful as an appetite regulator, an anti-obesity agent, a therapeutic agent for diabetes, a pancreatic beta differentiating cell growth enhancer, a therapeutic agent for metabolic syndrome, a therapeutic agent for a gastrointestinal disease, a therapeutic agent for a neuropathy, a therapeutic agent for a mental disorder, a therapeutic agent for a pulmonary disease, a therapeutic agent for a pituitary hormone secretion disorder or a lipid flavoring/seasoning agent. The aralkyl carboxylic acid compound is represented by the general formula (I). (I) wherein the ring Q represents a pyridyl or the like; Rrepresents a Calkyl group or the like; Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, a Calkyl group or a Calkoxy group; m and n independently represent an integer of 1 to 5; and X represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or &#x2014;NR&#x2014; [wherein Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group].
