An engine includes a combustion chamber, and a cylinder head. The cylinder head has an intake port communicating with the combustion chamber. The intake port includes a first inner wall and a second inner wall as inner walls that are provided from an upstream side to a downstream side. A valve guide hole opens onto the first inner wall. The second inner wall faces the first inner wall. The first inner wall includes a first concavely curved surface configured to vary a flowing direction of intake air. The second inner wall includes a second concavely curved surface configured to vary the flowing direction of the intake air.

Engine

A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll, an orbiting scroll, a suction section, a discharge section, and an electric motor. A sliding surface of a scroll is formed outside a wrap with a depression section depressed with respect to a sliding surface and a flange section elevated with respect to the depression section. The flange section is a remaining region in a protruding region disposed outside a referential perfect circle, the remaining region being other than a region continuing to an end of an involute curve of a scroll formed with the flange section, the referential perfect circle having a radius set to a distance between the center of the scroll formed with the flange section and the end of the involute curve. The scroll compressor enhances reduction of the sliding loss with a simple structure and reduction of the refrigerant leakage loss in the entire compression chambers.

A cooling structure includes a phosphor unit, air-blowing systems that cause cooling air to flow, and a duct structure. The phosphor unit includes a substrate and a phosphor that is formed on the substrate and that emits fluorescent light when irradiated with excitation light. The duct structure guides the cooling air blown from the air-blowing systems to the phosphor unit.

A structure for cooling a semiconductor element includes an element body and a lead terminal extending from one surface of the element body in a direction intersecting the one surface. The semiconductor element cooling structure includes a heat sink. The heat sink includes a contact surface that is in contact with the one surface of the element body, a through-hole which is formed in the contact surface and through which the lead terminal passes, and a space portion that communicates with the through-hole and that is configured to house a substrate connected to the lead terminal.

A light source apparatus according to the present invention includes a circuit board; a light source mounted on the circuit board; a first temperature measurement element that measures an ambient temperature of the circuit board and outputs a first signal that represents the measured result; a second temperature measurement element that measures a temperature of the circuit board and outputs a second signal that represents the measured result; and a light source drive control section that controls driving of the light source. The light source drive control section does not drive the light source if the temperature represented by the second signal is lower than the temperature represented by the first signal.
