An interactive graphic editing system for designing a semiconductor integrated circuit includes an attribute data base storage unit for storage of attributes of editing objects necessary for simulating characteristics of the semiconductor integrated circuit being designed, and an editing unit for enabling the editing objects to be manipulated and for fetching data from the attribute data base storage unit on selection of the editing objects as to whether or not the attributes for the selected editing objects can be set. The graphic editing system informs an operator as to feasibility of the selected attribute setting by making an inquiry at the attribute data base on selection of the editing objects as to whether or not the attributes concerning the selected editing objects can be set and displays an attribute setting menu for editing objects for which attributes can be set without displaying the attribute setting menu for designing objects for which attributes cannot be set.

A receiving method in the receiving equipment in, first, a service table composed of channel numbers currently on air is made and, if the channel key is judged to be pressed, a channel number searched from the service table is displayed on the screen. If the channel key is judged to be pressed continuously, only the channel numbers are changed and if the channel key is judged to be released, a channel selection is started. There is thus provideded a receiving equipment capable of swiftly selecting a desired channel of the television broadcasting.

A reception apparatus for receiving a broadcast signal which is transmitted from a transmitting side and which includes personalized information comprising data representing information about specific programs targeted for a specific viewer. The reception apparatus comprises: an extraction unit for extracting the data representing the information about the specific programs from the broadcast signal received; and a display unit for displaying the information about the specific programs on the basis of the data representing the information about the specific programs.
