A fundus photographing apparatus comprises: an anterior-segment observation optical system arranged to image an anterior-segment illuminated with infrared light to obtain an anterior-segment image; a fundus photographing optical system arranged to image a fundus illuminated with visible light emitted from a light source to obtain a fundus image; a display controller arranged to selectively display the fundus image and the anterior-segment image on a monitor; a photographing switch for inputting a photographing start signal to start photographing using the fundus photographing optical system; and a time informing part arranged to inform an elapsed time after the photographing start signal is input with the photographing switch or an elapsed time after the visible light is emitted from the light source, wherein the display controller displays the elapsed time informed by the time informing part together with the anterior-segment image on the monitor.

Fundus photographing apparatus

A fundus camera capable of favorably photographing a fundus of an examinee's eye comprises a fundus photographing optical system comprising a visible light source which emits illumination light onto the fundus, a focusing lens movable in an optical axis direction thereof, and a fundus image pickup element, an optical system comprising a first photodetector, for detecting a focus state of the photographing optical system with respect to the fundus, a blink sensor which comprises a second photodetector and detects a blink of the eye based on a photo-receiving signal from the second photodetector, and a control unit arranged to suspend photographing upon input of a predetermined signal until the blink is detected by the sensor, and control the light source to emit the light when a predetermined period of time has passed since the blink is detected by the sensor in order to execute the photographing.

Fundus camera

A fundus camera favorably performing focusing on a fundus of an examinee's eye without a black dot plate in a target projection optical system comprises an illumination optical system comprising a light source and an objective lens, a photographing optical system comprising a focusing lens movable in the optical axis direction and a diopter correction lens to correct a diopter of severe ametropia, a first moving mechanism comprising a first driving unit moving the focusing lens, a focus detection optical system comprising a projection optical system comprising a light source and a photo-receiving optical system comprising a photodetector, a second moving mechanism comprising a second driving unit moving a part of the detection optical system including at least one of the projection light source and the photodetector in the optical axis direction, a monitor, and a control unit controlling the second unit in conjunction with movement of the focusing lens.

A fundus camera capable of preferably photographing the periphery of a fundus irrespective of the state of an eye includes a photographing optical system having a photographing optical axis for photographing the fundus, a fundus observation optical system for picking up a fundus observation image, an alignment target projection optical system for projecting an alignment target onto an anterior segment of the eye, an alignment target image detection optical system, a photographing unit housing the systems, a moving mechanism moving the unit for alignment of the axis, a fixation target presenting system for guiding a visual line direction, a target presenting position being selectable or changeable, a display unit, and a controller controlling the display unit to display the observation and target images, wherein the controller includes a program for forming and displaying a reticle mark in displaying the observation image varying the shape of the mark with the presenting position.

A fundus camera of which the operability in alignment when photographing a fundus is enhanced includes a photographing optical system having a photographing optical axis which photographs the fundus, a fundus observation optical system picking up a fundus observation image, an anterior-segment observation optical system picking up an anterior-segment observation image, a photographing unit housing the optical systems, a moving mechanism moving the unit for alignment of the axis, a display unit, and a controller controlling the display unit and making display switching between the images on a screen of the display unit, wherein the controller includes a program for forming and displaying a reticle mark both in displaying the fundus observation image and in displaying the anterior-segment observation image while forming and displaying an alignment mark of which a relative distance from the reticle mark varies with an alignment deviation amount of the axis with respect to an eye.

A fundus camera, in which operability is improved while not impairing the convenience of the function of automatic alignment, has a photographing part including a fundus photographing optical system, a moving unit which moves the photographing part, an observation optical system having a first image-pickup element which picks up a fundus image, an observation optical system having a second image-pickup element which picks up an anterior-segment image, a display unit capable of displaying the images, a control part which obtains information on alignment of the photographing part with the eye and controls driving of the moving unit based on the alignment information so that an alignment state satisfies a first reference condition, and a first input switch for inputting a signal for display switching from the fundus image to the anterior-segment image, wherein the control part prohibits the driving of the moving unit when the signal is inputted.

A fundus camera that performs alignment easily and efficiently, and photographing a fundus favorably. A fundus camera has a photographing part in which a fundus photographing optical system is arranged, a fundus observation optical system having a first image-pickup element which picks up an image of the fundus, an anterior-segment observation optical system having a second image-pickup element which picks up an image of an anterior-segment of the eye, a display unit capable of displaying the image of the fundus picked up by the first image-pickup element and the image of the anterior-segment picked up by the second image-pickup element, and a control part which obtains information on alignment of the photographing part with the eye and decides which of the image of the fundus and the image of the anterior-segment is to be displayed on the display unit.

A fundus camera capable of performing accurate and easy focusing in photographing a peripheral portion of a fundus has a photographing optical system including a photographing optical axis, a focusing lens movable in a direction of the photographing optical axis and an image-pickup element, a lens moving unit, a focus target projection optical system, a focus target detection optical system, a fixation target presenting unit, in which a presenting position of the fixation target is changeable between a reference position for photographing a central portion of the fundus and a position for photographing a peripheral portion, a device which controls the lens moving unit to perform automatic focusing, and a device which controls the fixation target presenting unit to bring the presenting position of the fixation target to the reference position when the automatic focusing is actuated, even though the presenting position is set to the peripheral position.

An apparatus for photographing an eye to be examined, which facilitates interpretation of the relationship between a photographed image and a position at which the image has been photographed. The apparatus includes a device for photoelectrically photographing the eye, a device for displaying a photographed image, a first device for storing a template where a plurality of the images are scaled-down and arranged in given positions so that the images appear on a screen of the displaying device, a device for assigning each image to one position for arranging the images in the template, a second device for storing the images and information about where the images have been assigned, in which the images are each associated with their own assignment information, and a display control device for arranging such that one or more of the images appear on the screen, based on the stored images and information.
