A reactor cooling structure includes: a plurality of reactors that are stacked on one another, each reactor including a coil configured to produce magnetic flux when energized; and a cooling mechanism that cools the plurality of reactors, wherein each of the reactors has an exterior member that has: heat radiation surfaces respectively on both sides of the corresponding one of the reactors in a stacking direction of the stacked reactors i.e. a first direction, the heat radiation surfaces of the exterior member of each of the reactors being arranged to cool the coil of the corresponding one of the reactors; the cooling mechanism includes a cooling flow path for directly cooling the first and second heat radiation surfaces of the exterior member of each of the reactors by a refrigerant.

Reactor cooling structure

A rotating electric machine includes a field that includes a magnet unit having a plurality of magnetic poles, an armature including a multi-phase armature coil, and an electric power conversion device that is configured to perform electric power conversion and supply electric power resulting from the electric power conversion to the armature. Moreover, one of the field and the armature is configured as a rotor while the other is configured as a stator. The electric power conversion device includes at least one band-shaped busbar through which electric current flows during the electric power conversion. The at least one busbar has a cross section where a thickness in a lateral direction of the cross section at one end of the cross section in a longitudinal direction of the cross section is smaller than a thickness in the lateral direction at the other end of the cross section in the longitudinal direction.

A film capacitor includes: a film winding portion formed by winding at least one metalized film that includes a dielectric film and a metal film provided on a surface of the dielectric film; a pair of metallikon electrodes formed respectively on end faces of the film winding portion in a winding axis direction of the film winding portion; and a pair of busbars each of which is joined to a corresponding one of the metallikon electrodes via a joining metal. Each of the busbars is plate-shaped to cover an outer surface of the corresponding metallikon electrode. At least one of the metallikon electrodes has a ridge that is formed on the outer surface of the metallikon electrode to be convex in the winding axis direction toward the corresponding busbar. In the corresponding busbar, there is formed a ridge-receiving portion in which the ridge of the metallikon electrode is received.

An electrical power conversion apparatus includes a high-voltage bus bar, a low-voltage bus bar, and a relay bus bar which are integrated together in the form of a bus bar assembly. The high-voltage bus bar includes semiconductor-side high-voltage terminals and capacitor-side high-voltage terminals. The low-voltage bus bar includes semiconductor-side low-voltage terminals and capacitor-side low-voltage terminals. The relay bus bar includes a reactor-side relay terminal and a capacitor-side relay terminal. The capacitor-side high-voltage terminals, the capacitor-side low-voltage terminals, and the capacitor-side relay terminal are arranged in the form of a terminal array. The capacitor-side high-voltage terminals and the capacitor-side low-voltage terminals are arranged adjacent each other. The capacitor-side relay terminal is located at an end of an array of the capacitor-side high-voltage terminals and the capacitor-side low-voltage terminals. With these arrangements, the electrical power conversion apparatus is capable of reducing the inductance and facilitating the assembling and downsizing thereof.

Electrical power conversion apparatus

A power conversion apparatus includes: a semiconductor module, an electronic component, a plurality of cooling pipes and a casing that accommodates the semiconductor module, the electronic component and the cooling pipes. An abutting surface is provided at a part of the casing, in which the electronic component comes into contact with the abutting surface. A pressurizing member pressurizes the semiconductor module in a first direction extending from the semiconductor module to the electronic component. The electronic component includes a part body and a wing portion and the wing portion protrudes from the part body at least either one side of both sides thereof with respect to a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and comes into contact with the abutting surface from a semiconductor module side with respect to the first direction.

Power conversion apparatus provided with semiconductor module and electronic component pressurized by pressurizing member

A power conversion apparatus includes a semiconductor module, an electronic component, a cooling member, a casing and a pressurizing member. The electronic component includes a load application part that receives a load caused by pressurizing force on a surface in a pressurizing member side with respect to the lamination direction; a load supporting part that comes into contact with a contact part of the casing on a surface opposite to the pressurizing member side with respect to the lamination direction; and a fastening part fastened to a casing fastening part. The load supporting part is disposed between the load application part and the fastening part; moment of force around the load supporting part is produced in the electronic component by the load applied to the load application part; and the moment causes the electronic component to be pressed towards a pressed part of the casing.

Power conversion apparatus

A power converter includes a stack of a plurality of semiconductor modules, each of which incorporates semiconductor elements, and a plurality of cooling conduits, though each of which a coolant flows to cool the semiconductor modules, at least one electronic component electrically connected to the semiconductor modules, and a cooling plate for cooling the at least one electronic component. The stack, the at least one electronic component, and the cooling plate are arranged in a stacking direction of the stack. The cooling plate is connected to the cooling conduits and has an intra-plate pathway formed therein thorough which the coolant flows in a direction perpendicular to the stacking direction. The cooling plate has a larger area than each cooling conduit when viewed from the stacking direction.

Power converter

An electric power converter includes a stacked body in which a plurality of semiconductor modules and a plurality of coolers are stacked. Each of the semiconductor modules is provided with a main body that has semiconductor elements therein, a plurality of power terminals, and control terminals. Among the plurality of the power terminals respectively included in the two semiconductor modules adjoining in a stacking direction of the stacked body, at least parts of the power terminals are configured so as not to overlap each other when viewed from the stacking direction.

Electric power converter

An electric power converter includes a semiconductor module, an electronic component, a plurality of cooling tubes, a case, a main pressure member for pressing a stacked semiconductor section in a stacking direction, and a sub-pressure member for pressing a stacked component section in the stacking direction. The stacked semiconductor section and the stacked component section are stacked in line. A pressing force of the main pressure member is greater than a pressure pressing force of the sub-pressure member. The main pressure member is disposed at an end portion of the stacked component section far from the stacked semiconductor section. A supporting portion that supports the stacked semiconductor section from the stacked component section side is disposed in the case so as to prevent the pressing force of the main pressure member from acting on the stacked component section.

An electric power converter includes a semiconductor module constituting a power conversion circuit, a capacitor electrically connected to the semiconductor module, and a cooling member for cooling the capacitor. The capacitor includes an element body provided with internal electrode, and a pair of end-face-electrodes provided on both end faces of the element body and connected to the internal electrode. The pair of end-face-electrodes are connected with a pair of bus bars, respectively, in a manner of surface contact. The capacitor is disposed in a state where one of the pair of end-face-electrodes is facing the cooling member. The end-face-electrode facing the cooling member is in contact with the cooling member via the bus bar.

A semiconductor device includes: a base member; a solder layer; and a semiconductor chip disposed on the base member through the solder layer. The chip has an in-plane temperature distribution when the chip is operated. The chip has an allowable maximum temperature as a temperature limit of operation. The in-plane temperature distribution of the chip provides a temperature of the chip at each position of a surface of the chip. The temperature margin at each position is obtained by subtracting the temperature of the chip from the allowable maximum temperature. The solder layer has an allowable maximum diameter of a void at each position, the void being disposed in the solder layer. The allowable maximum diameter of the void at each position becomes larger as the temperature margin at the position becomes larger.
