An electrical connector system includes a circuit card assembly and a pluggable module. The circuit card assembly including a host circuit board, a socket connector mounted to the host circuit board, and a guide rail extending along the host circuit board. The socket connector has a socket substrate having upper contacts having mating interfaces being accessible from above the socket connector and being coplanar. The guide rail has a guide feature and a module actuator. The pluggable module includes a module body operatively engaging the guide rail to guide mating of the module body with the guide rail in a module mating direction. The pluggable module includes an actuation feature engaging the module actuator to force mating of module contacts with the upper contacts in a contact mating direction transverse to the module mating direction.

Electrical connector system

An electrical connector having a housing with a first surface and a second surface. Contact receiving openings extend from the first surface to the second surface. Contacts are positioned in the contact receiving openings. The contacts have base members and resilient contact beams extending from opposed sides of the base members. Sidewalls extend from opposed sides of the base members from which the resilient contact beams do not extend. The contacts also provide multiple electrical pathways across the contacts for electrical signal transmissions, allowing for signal transmissions to be transmitted at frequencies of approximately 224 Gbps or greater.

A socket includes a housing with a bottom plate portion and a frame body portion standing at edges of the bottom plate portion and extending along the edges. The frame body portion serves as a locator in an in-plane direction of the bottom plate portion in mounting an electronic component. The bottom plate portion and the frame body portion are integrally molded into the housing. The socket includes a plurality of contacts supported by the bottom plate portion. The socket includes a spring member including a supported portion supported by a first side of the frame body portion and a spring portion that elastically deforms by being pushed by the electronic component, pressing the electronic component against a second side opposite to the first side.

A contact includes a base portion having a first end and a second end, a first extending portion extending from first end of the base portion and having a first contact portion, and a second extending portion extending from the second end of the base portion and having a second contact portion. Each of the base portion beams has a press-fit portion protruding from one of the base portion beams toward the other of the base portion beams; the press-fit portions are press-fittable into a housing and supportable by the housing.

A socket includes a flat-plate-shaped housing, a plurality of contacts supported by the flat-plate-shaped housing, a frame attached to the flat-plate-shaped housing and extending along the flat-plate-shaped housing, a plurality of first solder balls disposed on a lower surface of the flat-plate-shaped housing and facing a circuit board, and a plurality of second solder balls disposed on the lower surface of the flat-plate-shaped housing. The frame defines, in an in-plane direction of the flat-plate-shaped housing, a position of an electronic component having a lower surface including a plurality of pads configured to contact the contacts upon the electronic component being mounted. The first solder balls electrically connect to each of the contacts and electrically connect to the circuit board. The second solder balls are not electrically connected to the contacts.

The defogger includes a pair of bus bars extending in a height direction of the glass plate, a first defogging area formed by a plurality of first heating wires connected between the pair of bus bars and extending in a widthwise direction of the glass plate, and a second defogging area formed by at least a second heating wire connected to the pair of bus bars or to the first defogging area and extending in a protruding manner to one side in the height direction to surround a wiring-prohibited area. The antenna is provided in at least one of areas that are an area on left of the second defogging area and an area on right of the second defogging area.

An integrated circuit socket includes a housing having a flat plate portion and a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing. The contacts each have a contact beam projecting outwardly from a first surface of the housing and a retained portion disposed in a passageway in the flat plate portion. The retained portion has a base portion with a flat-plate shape and a pair of side portions extending at an angle with respect to the base portion on a pair of opposite sides of the base portion. A cross-section of the retained portion parallel to the first surface has a U-shape.

A glass antenna arranged on a vehicle window glass includes a slot antenna formed by cutting out a conductive film; and a power supply unit configured to supply power to the slot antenna. The slot antenna includes a first slot extending in a first direction; a second slot connected to one end of the first slot, and extending in a second direction, a first wide-width slot connected to the other end of the first slot directly or via a first connection slot, and having a slot width greater than that of the first slot, and a second wide-width slot connected to a terminal end portion of the second slot directly or via a second connection slot, and having a slot width greater than that of the second slot. The power supply unit is arranged so as to straddle the first slot.
