A gasket includes an annular reinforcing ring formed around an axis, an annular base that is formed around the axis and that is formed from an elastic body into which the reinforcing ring is embedded, and an annular seal lip formed around the axis. The annular seal lip is disposed on an inner periphery side of the base and is integrated with the base. The seal lip includes one lip portion extending to the inner periphery side as progress toward one side in a direction of the axis and another seal lip portion extending to the inner periphery side as progress toward another side in the axis direction. A sum of a width of the base in a radial direction and a width of the seal lip in the radial direction is greater than a thickness of the base in the axis direction.

Gasket

A sealing device includes a reinforcing ring and an elastic body part formed from an elastic body and attached to the reinforcing ring. The elastic body part includes a seal lip projecting toward one side in a direction of an axis, a secondary lip portion projecting toward another side in the direction of the axis, and an outer peripheral portion covering the reinforcing ring from an outer periphery side. The seal lip projects beyond the reinforcing ring toward the one side, and the secondary lip portion projects beyond the reinforcing ring toward the other side. In the outer peripheral portion, at least one identification part acting as a mark is formed further on the one side or the other side than a middle of the outer peripheral portion.

Sealing device and sealing structure

A gasket is provided which gives stable sealing performance even when an insertion member is inclined with respect to an insertion hole. The gasket includes a body portionwhich is to be fixed in close contact with an inner peripheral surface of an insertion holewhile being spaced apart from an insertion member, and a flexible portionwhich is flexurally deformable and provided to extend from the body portiontoward an inner peripheral surface side of the body portion. The flexible portionis flexurally bent by being pressed by an extended surface portionof the insertion memberand comes into close contact with the extended surface portionwhile being spaced apart from each of a housingand the insertion portion

A sealing structure includes a sealing device including a first seal lip having a first seal-lip end, and a support ring that supports the first seal lip; and a plurality of members that define an attachment space into which the sealing device is attached, the members including an inner peripheral wall arranged on the inner periphery side of the sealing device, a first end wall arranged on one axial end of the sealing device, and a second end wall arranged on another axial end of the sealing device. The first seal-lip end has a certain amount of interference with the inner peripheral wall and the first end wall so that its radial reaction force radially presses the support ring outward and its axial reaction force presses the support ring toward the second end wall.

Sealing structure

The invention provides a gasket having sealing lips in axial both ends of a gasket body in which a reinforcing ring is embedded. The gasket, has a structure in which the gasket body is displaced to the one axial side within the mounting groove when pressure acts on the gasket because the rigidity of a second sealing lip is set to be higher than the rigidity of a first sealing lip or a reinforcing ring is disposed closer to the one axial side within the gasket body. Furthermore, a seal bead which is brought into close contact to the bottom surface of the mounting groove when mounted is provided in the gasket body and a space portion surrounded by the second sealing lip, the seal bead, and the bottom surface and the other side surface of the mounting groove when mounted is provided.
