A vehicle bumper including a pedestrian collision detection apparatus includes: a chamber member, a pressure detector, a collision determination unit, an absorber, and a bumper cover. The chamber member is disposed in a vehicle width direction as a longitudinal direction thereof and is adjacent to an outer side surface of a bumper reinforcement in a vehicle front-rear direction, the bumper reinforcement is disposed in the vehicle width direction as a longitudinal direction thereof and inside of the chamber member functions as a pressure chamber. The pressure detector outputs a signal corresponding to a change in pressure of the pressure chamber. The bumper cover is provided on the outside of the chamber member and the absorber in the vehicle front-rear direction and includes a projected portion projected from an opposite wall that faces the chamber member to the chamber member side.

A hood for a vehicle includes: a hood outer constituting a vehicle outer surface of the hood covering an engine room; a hood inner disposed on a rear face of the hood outer; an insulator for suppressing transmission of sound generated in the engine room to the outside; and an intercooler duct for guiding outer air flowing in the engine room to an intercooler. The insulator includes a through hole at least in a part of an overlap part overlapping the intercooler duct.

A front shock absorbing structure of a vehicle includes a bumper reinforcement member that is disposed in a vehicle width direction in a front portion of a vehicle body and is formed as a rigid elongated member, and a shock absorbing member that is positioned on a front surface of the bumper reinforcement member. The shock absorbing member is vertically divided into a first shock absorbing portion and a second shock absorbing portion. The first and second shock absorbing portions are integrally coupled to each other at a forward side, so as to define a space therebetween at a rearward side. The coupling can be broken when an impact is applied by an impactor from ahead. The second shock absorbing portion has a protruding portion that is projected toward the space.
