According to one embodiment, a power management module in an information processing apparatus is configured to execute a process of setting a power-down signal to a peripheral device in an active state in response to a power-down signal generation command, a process of setting the information processing apparatus in a sleep state in response to a sleep state transition request signal, a process of restoring the information processing apparatus to a working state in response to generation of a predetermined wakeup event, and a process of setting the power-down signal in an inactive state before a predetermined time has passed since the restoration of the information processing apparatus to the working state.

According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a device controller, an operation mode switching circuit, a line switch, and a controller. The device controller includes a wakeup function and performs transmission with the external device through a data line. The operation mode switching circuit changes an operation mode of a sleep-and-charge function and performs transmission with the external device through the data line. The line switch selectively connects the data line with either of the device controller or the operation mode switching circuit. The controller controls a power supply to the device controller and a drive of the operation mode switching circuit and the line switch in accordance with the condition of the main body.

In this invention, a fuel cell assembly and an air channel for supplying air to the fuel cell assembly are arranged in a display unit of an electronic apparatus. A drain hole for draining water produced by the fuel cell assembly is formed in a side surface of the display unit. When a drain tool is connected to the drain hole and the electronic apparatus is in the OFF state, the operation mode switches to a fuel cell assembly mode for using the fuel cell assembly.
