A vehicle control device is configured to cause a vehicle to travel in a first mode when an enlargement mode is set, a driving force required for traveling of the vehicle is less than a value, and a capacity of a power storage is equal to or more than a first threshold, operate an internal combustion engine to cause the vehicle to travel in a second mode in response to the driving force becoming equal to or larger than the value when the enlargement mode is set and the vehicle is caused to travel in the first mode, and continue the enlargement mode when the capacity at a time when the driving force becomes equal to or more than the value is equal to or larger than a second threshold larger than the first threshold, and cancel the enlargement mode when the capacity is less than the second threshold.

Vehicle control device

A hybrid vehicle has a rechargeable battery, an internal combustion, a generator, and a control unit that controls the driving of the hybrid vehicle. The control unit determines a utilization mode of regenerated energy in the hybrid vehicle, according to a charged ratio of the battery and a braking force of the hybrid vehicle, from a first mode in which the regenerated energy is charged in the battery, a second mode in which the regenerated energy is consumed to drive the generator with the internal combustion engine as a load, and a third mode in which a part of the regenerated energy is charged in the battery and the remainder is consumed to drive the generator.

If the temperature (Tig) of a switching element () in a source power supply circuit () of an electric motor () increases to be equal to or greater than a first predetermined value (&#x3b1;) while an electric vehicle () is in a stall state, a torque command for the electric motor () is reduced while a braking force command for a brake unit () is increased, and if the temperature (Tig) of the switching element () subsequently decreases to be equal to or less than a second predetermined value (&#x3b2;(&#x3c;&#x3b1;)), the braking force command for the brake unit () is decreased while the torque command for the electric motor () is increased. The increment rate of the torque command for the electric motor () is varied in accordance with the degree of road gradient.

Control device and control method for electric vehicle

A controller is provided for a permanent magnet field motor including two rotors concentrically provided around a rotating shaft and a phase changing device for changing an angle of relative displacement in a circumferential direction between two rotors to serve as a power source for driving driven wheels of an all-wheel drive vehicle having two main driving wheels and at least two driven wheels, the controller including a drive control portion to control driving of the motor according to a drive mode of the all-wheel drive vehicle; and a phase instruction portion to issue an instruction, when the drive mode of the all-wheel drive vehicle is a main-driving-wheel drive mode, to set the angle of relative displacement at an angle at which a magnetic flux generated at each of the two rotors is weakened, as compared with that generated at each of the two rotors in an all-wheel drive mode.

A motor control apparatus includes: an electric motor having an outer rotor and an inner rotor which can alter mutual relative phases; a phase alternation device which alters the relative phase; a phase position sensor which detects a phase position with respect to the relative phase; and a fail-decision control unit which sets the relative phase as a maximum value or a minimum value (that is, a most forcing phase and a most weakening phase) in a phase variable area of the phase alternation device in accordance with a rotation number of the electric motor when the phase position sensor does not work.

This motor control apparatus is provided with: a reduced energy calculation device that calculates a reduced energy that is produced when a drive mode of a hybrid vehicle is shifted from a drive mode driven by a motor to a drive mode driven by an internal combustion engine and if the phase of the motor is changed from the present phase to the arbitrary required phase; a displacement energy calculation device that calculates a displacement energy that is produced when the present phase is changed to the arbitrary required phase; and a phase change permission device that compares the reduced energy and the displacement energy, and permits changing from the present phase to the required phase when it is determined that the reduced energy is greater than the displacement energy.

Motor control apparatus and motor control method

A motor control device includes: a motor that has a plurality of rotors which respectively have a magnetic piece, which drives or supplementarily drives a vehicle; a phase changing mechanism that changes relative phases of the plurality of rotors, and sets these to a predetermined induced voltage constant; and a speed control device that controls a phase changing speed of the phase changing mechanism.

Motor control device

A hybrid vehicle implements a required traveling condition by generating a required driving force necessary to drive the vehicle even in the case where a supply source of a working fluid develops a malfunction. The hybrid vehicle is equipped with a motor which changes the phase difference between two rotors and an engaging/disengaging device which turns on/off the supply of a driving force of an internal combustion engine, the motor and the engaging/disengaging device being driven by a working fluid. The hybrid vehicle further includes a clutch which carries out the engagement/disengagement between a first drive shaft through which a driving force of an engine is transmitted and a second drive shaft through which a driving force of the motor is transmitted to wheels, an electrically-operated first pump capable of supplying hydraulic oil to a relative rotational force generator of the motor and the clutch, a mechanical second pump which is driven by the engine and which is capable of supplying the hydraulic oil to the clutch, and a solenoid selector valve for selectively switching the source of supply of the hydraulic oil to the clutch to the first pump or the second pump.

A transmission TM comprises a metal V-belt mechanism, which is provided between an engine ENG and driving wheels DRW and transmits a rotational driving force from the engine ENG toward the driving wheels DRW with a speed change, and a forward/reverse switching mechanism, which includes a planetary gear train and switches the rotational direction between for a forward drive and for a reverse drive and transmits the rotational driving force received from the engine ENG to the metal V-belt mechanism. An engine control unitfor the transmission TM, while the rotational direction is set for a reverse drive, changes the ratio of the metal V-belt mechanismin the direction where the vehicle speed increases by a predetermined ratio and controls the torque input from the engine ENG such that the torque being transmitted to the driving wheels DRW achieves approximately the same magnitude as that achieved while the rotational direction is set for a forward drive.
