A sheet transfer mechanism for a printer () to form an image on a sheet () being transferred in a transfer route by propelling ink at ink heads (), includes: a transfer belt () that has a plurality of adhesion through-holes () for holding a sheet () and transfers the sheet () being held thereon, a platen () that slidably supports the transfer belt () in an area facing the ink heads () and has a plurality of suction through-holes () in an area through which the plurality of the adhesion through-holes () pass; a suction fan () that generates airflow with negative pressure for holding the sheet () on the transfer belt () through the plurality of the suction through-holes () and the plurality of the adhesion through-holes (); and plugging plates () that adjust a number density of the suction through-holes () in the platen () depending on an arrangement of the ink heads ().

Sheet transfer mechanism for printer with suction through-hole density adjuster

An image forming apparatus for a printer forms images by injecting inks on a printing paper being fed on a feeding path. The image forming apparatus comprises a head holder surface provided on the feeding path with being opposed to a surface of the feeding path and a plurality of ink heads for injecting inks from injection ports thereof. Here, the injection ports of the plurality of ink heads are projected outward from the head holder surface. The image forming apparatus can achieve further downsizing and multifunctional capability and improve quality of higher pixelated printed images. In addition, the image forming apparatus can prevent negative effects such as ink injection failures or defacement of printed matters due to ink mists made on injecting ink.

Image forming apparatus

An inkjet printer includes a printing unit, a transfer route, a heating chamber, and a heater. The printing unit ejects ink onto a sheet through nozzles of the inkjet heads. The transfer route transfers the sheet as printed at the printing unit. The heating chamber accommodates at least part of the transfer route to heat the sheet as transferred in the transfer route. The heater heats inside the heating chamber. The heating chamber is sectioned into sub-chambers along the transfer route, including a first sub-chamber to be heated by the heater and a second sub-chamber to be lower in temperature than the first sub-chamber and located between the printing unit and the first sub-chamber.

Inkjet printer

An ink-jet printer comprises: a platen plate including a plurality of recesses, which are formed and regularly arranged in a front surface by digging from the front surface toward the back surface, and a suction hole extending from a part of the bottom surface of the recess through the back surface; and a print head having ink-discharging nozzles arranged in a nozzle face which is arranged in a position facing the front surface of the platen plate. The ink-discharging nozzles are arranged between an opening end of the recess and an opening end of the suction hole excluding an area directly above the suction hole of the platen plate.
