With conventional automatic drive control, no consideration is given to whether the driver is in a condition to be able to drive the vehicle properly when automatic driving is cancelled. Accordingly, an automatic drive control device is switchable between a manual driving mode in which driving operation by the driver of the vehicle is required, and an automatic driving mode in which driving operation by the driver of the vehicle is not required.
