A laminated heating body permits free adjustment of temperature to be felt on a user's skin by varying condition of a cover sheet on a surface thereof. The laminated heating body includes a heating body and a cover sheet covering the heating body. The cover sheet is formed from a laminated sheet consisted of at least two sheet bases having mutually different heat conductivity. At least two sheet bases are peelably bonded with each other.

Provided is a water-decomposable fibrous sheet including fibers containing at least 3% by mass of fibrillated rayon. The fibrillated rayon has a degree of beating of at most 700 cc and has primary fibers of a predetermined fiber length and microfibers extending from the primary fibers. In the fibrous sheet, the microfibers are entangled with at least either of other microfibers and other fibers therein, and the surface friction resistance of the fibrous sheet in dry, measured according to the abrasion resistance test method of JIS P-8136, is at least three rubbing cycles.

A humidifier having a heat-generating composition for generating steam is disclosed. The humidifier is permitted to fit the face, keeping the humidity high at a space between the face and the humidifier for many hours. A central non heat-generating belt, which functions as a flexible belt, is provided between inner heat-generating regions containing heat-generating composition. Lateral non heat-generating belts, which function as a flexible belt, are provided between the inner heat-generating regions and outer heat-generating regions. The humidifier fits the face by deforming the flexible belts. Thus, the face is kept moisturized by steam discharged from the inner heat-generating regions and the outer heat-generating regions.

A heat conductivity from a heating body to a user's skin is improved to provide satisfactorily warm feeling to the skin of the user. A laminated heating body has a heating body and a cover sheet covering the heating body. The cover sheet defines at least one low temperature portion formed from a material having low heat conductivity and at least one high temperature portion formed from a material having high heat conductivity. The at least one low temperature portion and the at least one high temperature portion are formed separately on a surface of the cover sheet contacting with a user's skin.

A water disintegratable non-woven fabric having excellent water disintegratability and high wet strength can be obtained by a step of forming a fiber web from fibers having a fiber length of 10 mm or less, a step of applying a water jet treatment to the fiber web to obtain a fiber sheet having wet strength of less than 100 g/25 mm in MD and CD, the wet strength being defined by tensile strength at break of the fiber sheet, as measured by using a tensilon tester with a chuck distance of 100 mm, at a tensile speed of 100 mm/min to the fiber sheet which is cut into 25 mm width and 150 mm length and impregnated with water in an amount 2.5 times the weight of the fiber sheet, and a step of adding at least one binder selected from the group consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose, alkylcellulose, polyvinyl alcohol and modified polyvinyl alcohol to the fiber sheet. The water disintegratable non-woven fabric is sufficiently bulky and has an excellent wiping effect.

Method of making a water disintegratable non-woven fabric

There is disclosed a cleaning article including a water-decomposable non-woven fabric containing water dispersible fibers and a water soluble resin coated on one side or both sides of the water-decomposable non-woven fabric. The water soluble resin is contained more in a surface portion or surface portions of a fiber assembly than in a remaining portion or inner portion of the fiber assembly. The water soluble resin thus contained can increase only the surface strength of the non-woven fabric sufficiently without deteriorating the softness of the entire article, so that dropping of fibers or breakage of surface upon wiping operation can be prevented.

Water-decomposable cleaning article and manufacturing method therefor

Conventional water-decomposable fibrous sheets for cleaning sheets capable of being disposed of in toilets and others do not have well-balanced decomposability in water and strength. The water-decomposable fibrous sheet containing from 5 to 100% by mass of fibrillated rayon having a fiber length of at most 10 mm and having a degree of beating of at most 700 cc, optionally along with other fibers having a length of at most 10 mm, has good decomposability in water and high wet strength. When subjected to water-jetting treatment, it becomes more bulky to have a soft feel.

There is disclosed a water-decomposable fibrous sheet including water-dispersible fibers and water-insoluble carboxymethyl cellulose. The water-insoluble carboxymethyl cellulose has a degree of substitution for etherification (DE) falling between 0.3 and 0.6. In the water-insoluble carboxymethyl cellulose, the hydrogen of the carboxyl group in at least 95% of the carboxymethyl groups is substituted with a metal.

Provided is a water-decomposable fibrous sheet includes fibers containing fibrillated rayon. The fibrillated rayon has primary fibers of a predetermined fiber length and microfibers extending from the primary fibers. The fibrillated rayon includes a first type of fibrillated rayon having a degree of beating of at most 700 cc, of which the length of the primary fibers falls between 1.8 mm and 4.0 mm at the peak of its self-weighted, average fiber length distribution profile curve, and a second type of fibrillated rayon having a degree of beating of at most 700 cc, of which the length of the primary fibers falls between 4.5 mm and 10.0 mm at the peak of its self-weighted, average fiber length distribution profile curve. The microfibers extending from the first and second, types of fibrillated rayon are entangled with and/or hydrogen-bonded to at least either of other microfibers and other fibers.

Method of manufacturing a water disintegratable non-woven fabric and the water disintegratable non-woven fabric

There is disclosed a fibrous sheet using a modified polyvinyl alcohol as a binder with which an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble organic salt, water-soluble inorganic salt and/or water-soluble boron compound is impregnated whereby wet strength of the fibrous sheet can be maintained. The fibrous sheet thus obtained is excellent in water-disintegratability and strength, and its water-disintegratability and strength are not lowered even at high temperatures. Furthermore, it is excellent in water-disintegratability even in cold water.

Water-disintegratable fibrous sheet containing modified polyvinyl alcohol

After laminating together the first sheets crepe-processed at a high crepe ratio and the second sheet crepe-processed at a crepe ratio lower than that of the first sheet or not crepe-processed, the sheets are bonded together at bonding parts at a given pitch in rows. When the resulting bonded sheets are impregnated with a liquid, expansions are generated between the rows of bonding parts due to the difference in ratios of the elongation of the two sheets. The expansions take on the shape of large wrinkle according to the pitch of the bonding parts. At the production process of the sheet, the sheet is crepe-processed containing water at a preset ratio, whereby small wrinkles as residual crepe wrinkles are formed on the sheet surface. The large wrinkles and the small wrinkles can enhance the wiping effect.
