There is provided a meandering control device for a rolling line capable of setting temperature of a material to be rolled so as to suppress meandering of the material to be rolled. The meandering control includes a tail end roll force calculation unit that calculates a predictive value of roll force when entry side tension is not applied, an allowable meandering amount roll force calculation unit that calculates a reference value of the roll force applied to the material to be rolled when a meandering amount of the material to be rolled is an allowable amount, and a temperature rise amount calculation unit that calculates a temperature rise amount of the material to be rolled, based on a difference between the predictive value of the roll force and the reference value of the roll force.

Meandering control device for rolling line

A rolling system includes an induction heater, temperature detectors, a finishing mill, and a power setting calculation device. The power setting calculation device generates a temperature distribution pattern in a plate thickness direction of a steel material at a temperature control position in an upstream side. The power setting calculation device calculates a volume average temperature of the steel material at a temperature control position in a downstream side, at a time when the steel material moves to the temperature control position in the downstream side from the temperature control position in the upstream side, based on the generated temperature distribution pattern. Then, the power setting calculation device calculates an electric power necessary for the induction heater so that the calculated volume average temperature follows a target temperature of the steel material at the temperature control position in the downstream side.

Rolling system

An instantaneous value of a learning coefficient is calculated based on a gap between a result value and a result recalculation value, and an update value of the learning coefficient is calculated from the instantaneous value. The calculated update value is recorded in a cell corresponding to present rolling conditions. A predetermined number of neighboring cells having small spatial distances from a target cell corresponding to next rolling conditions in a space having rolling conditions as coordinate axes are selected from cells in which respective evaluation results of recency, saturation, and stability of the learning coefficient satisfy criteria. An estimation value of the learning coefficient in the target cell is then calculated by polynomial interpolation. The most recent update value of the learning coefficient is then corrected with the estimation value, and used as a use value of the learning coefficient in the next rolling conditions.

In a tandem rolling mill control system, an arithmetic operation on a looper torque command is adopted so that a signal obtained by integrating a looper angle deviation is not contained as a component, and a looper speed controller performs an arithmetic operation with a sampling period at a higher speed than a looper angle controller.
