In order to obtain an electric rotating machine which can improve rotating machine efficiency by suppressing a harmonic component of rotor magnetomotive force and reducing harmonic core loss, a permanent magnet is furnished in some of inter-magnetic pole portions, the inter-magnetic pole portion being formed between a first claw-shaped magnetic pole portion and a second claw-shaped magnetic pole portion; the shapes of a first chamfered portion and a second chamfered portion, which are provided in the inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is inserted, differ from those of a first chamfered portion and a second chamfered portion, which are provided in an inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is not inserted; and/or the shapes of a first magnetic flux adjusting portion and a second magnetic flux adjusting portion, which are provided in the inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is inserted, differ from those of a first magnetic flux adjusting portion and a second magnetic flux adjusting portion, which are provided in the inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is not inserted.

Electric rotating machine

A rotary electric machine in accordance with the invention includes: a case including a front-side housing and a rear-side housing; a rotor having a field winding placed in the case; a stator having an armature winding placed in the case; a power module for energizing armature current that flows in the armature winding; a heat sink, on which the power module is mounted, for cooling the power module; a field circuit module for controlling field current that flows in the field winding; and a control circuit for controlling the operation of the power module and the field circuit module, wherein the power module includes a pair of power modules mounted opposite to each other on a base surface of the heat sink, and the heat sink includes a plurality of cooling fins placed thereon.

Provided is a rotating electrical machine, including: temperature information acquisition means for acquiring information on a temperature of a brush; rotation information acquisition means for acquiring information on a rotation angle of a rotation shaft; and a wear amount calculation section for acquiring the temperature of the brush based on temperature information including output information of the temperature information acquisition means, and for calculating a total wear amount of the brush by integrating a product of a value corresponding to the temperature of the brush, the value being a wear amount function defined as a wear amount per unit sliding distance of the brush with the temperature of the brush used as a variable, and a value including an rotational speed of a rotor, with respect to time from immediately after start of use of the brush to a current time.

Rotating electrical machine

To obtain a rotating electrical machine preventing a functional failure and shortening of the life of brushes caused by a temperature rise of the brushes installed to a vehicle AC power generator or a motor generator. A brush holder holding brushes supplying a field current to a rotor is provided with brush temperature suppressing metal members installed substantially parallel to the brushes in the vicinity of abutment portions of the brushes and slip rings in point-, line-, or surface-contact with the brushes at least at one point besides energization terminals. The brush temperature suppressing metal members not only diffuse heat generated at the brushes, but also function as a heat capacity for a case where a large amount of heat is generated in a short time, such as during regenerative power generation and a start-up operation, and thereby prevent an excessive temperature rise of the brushes.

A rotary electric machine including a brush used to supply a field current to a field winding of a rotor, a brush holder holding the brush, a power circuit portion connected to a heat sink having fins, and a case covering the power circuit portion and the brush holder. An air passage is provided between the brush holder and the fins of the heat sink, and an opening is provided to the case so as to cover component members of the brush holder in a shape conforming to an outer peripheral portion of the brush holder, from which cooling air is allowed to pass through the air passage.

An electric rotating machine is provided that efficiently radiates heat, caused in the vicinity of a portion where a brush and a slip ring makes contact with each other, to the outside of a brush holder and that can prevent the temperature of the brush from excessively rising. The brush holder holding the brush that supplies a magnetic-field current to a magnetic-field winding by way of the slip ring is provided with an energization terminal that electrically connects a magnetic-field circuit with the brush and a brush cooling metal member that cools the brush; the brush cooling metal member radiates heat, generated in the vicinity of a contact portion between the brush and the slip ring, to the outside of the brush holder.

Provided is a rotary electric machine including housings, a stator, a rotor, bearings, a slip ring, a power assembly, a control assembly, a rotation sensor, and a brush holder, in which a switching element mounting surface of the power assembly and a surface of the control assembly, on which a control element of a control circuit is mounted, are placed in parallel to a rotation shaft, and the rotation sensor is placed between the rear bearing and the slip ring.

The rotating electric machine is configured in such a way that a surface of the heat sink, on which the cooling fins of the heat sink are formed, faces the housing; and a plate, which blocks the surface of the housing facing the heat sink and forms a wind passage between the heat sink and the plate, intervenes between the cooling fins and the surface of the housing facing the heat sink; and outside air is aspirated from an inlet formed on the protective cover, and then, the outside air is passed through the wind passage formed between the heat sink and the plate so as to be passed through a window formed on the housing, and is exhausted, by the cooling fan of the rotor, from an outlet formed on the housing.

Rotating electric machine

A vehicle generator motor has a generator motor that is connected to an internal combustion engine and plural sets of three-phase windings, plural sets of inverter portions connected to the respective sets of the three-phase windings, and a control circuit portion for controlling the inverter portions in accordance with the operation state of the generator motor. When the generator motor operates as a motor and a variation value of an output torque or power generation amount thereof exceeds a predetermined value, the control circuit portion controls the inverter portions so as to stop armature current flowing in at least one set in plural sets of three-phase windings.

The electric rotating machine is provided with an intermediate plate having a power circuit connection portion that is connected with an outgoing lead drawn out from a power circuit unit and an armature winding connection portion that is connected with the power circuit connection portion and an outgoing lead drawn out from an armature winding. The power circuit connection portion and the armature winding connection portion are arranged at desired positions and outgoing leads from the armature winding of the stator are drawn out in such a way as to fall within a given space, so that intermediate connection lines for connecting windings can be shortened. Accordingly, not only the breakage of an intermediate connection line caused by a vibration can be prevented, but also the switching elements can separately be arranged so as to reduce thermal interference between the switching elements; therefore, the switching elements can effectively be cooled.

A vehicular rotary electric machine has a stator and a rotor supported by a bracket; a field winding which is provided on the rotor and is for generating a magnetomotive force; a field circuit section which is for supplying a current to the field winding; and a brush holder having a brush, the field circuit section and the brush holder being separately mounted to the bracket. In the vehicular rotary electric machine, connecting means between the field circuit section and the brush holder is configured by an intermediate wiring member having a stress buffering mechanism.

A resin bobbin is mounted to a pole core by fitting a body portion thereof over first and second boss portions. A rotor coil is configured by winding a conducting wire onto the bobbin, and an output wire of the conducting wire that is led out from the wound portion is wound doubly onto an output wire securing portion of the bobbin. A magnet-mounting member for holding permanent magnets against side faces of each claw-shaped magnetic pole has pairs of extreme-end and basal-end hooking tabs for preventing displacement of the permanent magnets in either a basal-end or extreme-end direction. The magnet-mounting member is configured such that a function of the basal-end hooking tabs to prevent displacement of the permanent magnets can be disabled by deforming the basal-end hooking tabs. When the magnet-mounting member is forced onto the claw-shaped magnetic pole, the basal-end hooking tabs go into contact with the permanent magnets and deform outward, whereby the magnet-retaining function of the basal-end hooking tabs is disabled. When the magnet-mounting member has been fully pushed onto the claw-shaped magnetic pole, the basal-end hooking tabs resume an original shape to prevent the permanent magnets from being displaced in either direction.

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine can effectively suppress the rotational fluctuation of the engine by properly controlling the operating state of a rotating electrical machine without applying an excessive load to a power supply system connected to the rotating electrical machine. The rotating electrical machine is used for both electric operation and electric power generation, and is connected to the engine. A control circuit controls at least one of a field current and an armature current of the rotating electrical machine. A power supply system is connected to the rotating electrical machine. A rotational fluctuation suppression section (ECU) suppresses the rotational fluctuation of the engine by controlling an amount of electric power and generated torque of the rotating electrical machine in accordance with an electric power load of the vehicle, an amount of electric power of the power supply system, and the rotational speed of the rotating electrical machine.
