A detection device detecting collapse of PM collected in a filter provided in an exhaust system flow path of an internal combustion engine includes: a differential pressure sensor configured to acquire a differential pressure between an exhaust inlet side and an exhaust outlet side of the filter; a water generation determination unit configured to determine whether water is generated in the exhaust system flow path; and a PM collapse determination unit configured to determine that at least a part of the PM collected in the filter has collapsed when a PM accumulation amount estimated based on the acquired differential pressure has increased by a predetermined amount or more within a predetermined period in a state where the PM accumulation amount estimated based on the acquired differential pressure is equal to or larger than a predetermined first threshold and the water generation determination unit has determined that water is generated.

Detection device, detection method, and exhaust purification device with detection device

An internal combustion engine exhaust purification device includes a filter which is disposed in an exhaust path and collects particulate matter in exhaust gas, an injection valve which is disposed upstream of the filter in the exhaust path and injects fuel into the exhaust path, a fuel pump which supplies a fuel to the injection valve, a shut-off valve which is interposed between the fuel pump and the injection valve, and selectively shuts off a fuel supply from the fuel pump to the injection valve, and a control unit which controls the injection valve and the shut-off valve. The control unit closes the shut-off valve when the control unit detects an opened adherence failure of the injection valve and detects an abnormal temperature rise of the filter during regeneration of the filter.

Internal combustion engine exhaust purification device

A urea water supply system which performs permission determination by a control device based on a first parameter includes a cooling water temperature sensor, and a control device is configured to be able to store a result of the permission determination, and when a system control is restarted after the system control is stopped and a stop period is elapsed, it performs a shortening setting to shorten a time required for the permission determination based on the determination result stored at a time when the system is stopped and a cooling water temperature immediately after restarting.

Urea water supply system and control method therefor

A diesel particulate defuser ('DPD') is connected to an exhaust pipe of a diesel engine, an exhaust gas temperature during automatic regeneration of the DPD is detected, and the difference between the detected exhaust gas temperature and a target regeneration temperature is determined. In a case where an exhaust pipe injection amount is PID controlled based on this difference, when an exhaust brake valve is closed during traveling automatic regeneration, the exhaust pipe injection is stopped and calculation of an integral control term by the PID control is continued as long as the exhaust valve brake valve is closed, and when the exhaust brake valve is opened, the integral control term that has been continuously calculated is taken as an initial operation amount.

Exhaust gas purification system

A diesel particulate filter ('DPF') system that is more convenient than a conventional DPF system, including a DPF having a catalyzed soot filter ('CSF') that is connected to an exhaust pipe of a diesel engine in order to collect particulate matter (&#x201c;PM&#x201d;) in exhaust gas, and a diesel oxidation catalyst (&#x201c;DOC&#x201d;) provided on an upstream side of the CSF; and temperature sensors provided respectively on an upstream side and a downstream side of the DOC. When a PM accumulation amount in the CSF exceeds a fixed amount, DPF regeneration is performed by setting a temperature detected by the upstream side temperature sensor at or above a first threshold and setting a temperature detected by the downstream side temperature sensor at or above a second threshold. When a breakdown is detected in the upstream side temperature sensor, the second threshold is modified upward.

Diesel Particulate Filter system

An exhaust pipe injection control device to optimally control a degree of exhaust gas recirculation ('EGR') opening during diesel particulate filter ('DPF') regeneration. The device includes a regeneration-time opening control unit which controls a degree of EGR opening of an EGR device during DPF regeneration, and a regeneration-time opening map in which an optimal degree of EGR opening of the EGR device during DPF regeneration is set in advance according to an engine rotation speed and a fuel injection amount of an engine. The regeneration-time opening control unit performs exhaust gas recirculation by referring to the regeneration-time opening map based on the engine rotation speed and the fuel injection amount of the engine and controlling the degree of EGR opening of the EGR device.

Exhaust pipe injection control device

An exhaust pipe injection control device for controlling an appropriate fuel injection amount regardless of engine rotation speed. The exhaust pipe injection control device includes: a target injection amount setting unit which sets, according to an engine rotation speed and an exhaust gas flow rate, a target injection amount that is injected in a single injection from an exhaust pipe injector; a base pulse width ('BPW') map in which a fuel injection time of the exhaust pipe injector is set so that, with respect to the target injection amount and an exhaust pipe injection fuel pressure, fuel in the target injection amount is injected; and an exhaust pipe injection executing unit which performs injection from the exhaust pipe injector by referring to the BPW map based on the target injection amount and the exhaust pipe injection fuel pressure.

When an internal combustion engine is in a low rotation speed driving condition, a duration of the low rotation speed driving condition is measured, and when this duration exceeds a predetermined time, the forced regeneration control is performed. Thus, even when an exhaust flow rate is small and an estimation of a particulate matter accumulated amount due to a pressure difference between front and back sides of a filter is difficult, a forced regeneration time can be accurately judged, the deterioration of fuel efficiency that is caused by excessive trapped particulate matter can be avoided, and thermal runaway that is caused by the excessive particulate matter, and the melting damage of the diesel particulate filter due to this thermal runaway, can be prevented.

Method of purifying exhaust gas and exhaust gas purification system

An exhaust gas purification system has an exhaust gas purification device for purifying components in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine. In order to recover a purification ability of the device, and in order to prevent oil dilution occurring when post injection is conducted during control that raises the temperature of exhaust gas, the system performs the following, during control; injection quantities of post injections are calculated based on previously set map data, accumulated to calculate a post injection accumulated injection amount, and, when the accumulated injection amount exceeds a predetermined value, the post injection is stopped to cease the regenerative control.

Control method of exhaust gas purification system and exhaust gas purification system

In an exhaust gas temperature raising control for recovering purification ability of an exhaust gas purification device of an internal combustion engine, the exhaust gas temperature is efficiently raised to a target level without producing white smoke. In recovery control of the exhaust gas purification device, when the temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust gas purification device is lower than a predetermined judgment value, a first exhaust gas temperature raising control that does not include post injection but includes intake air restriction is performed, and when equal to or higher than the predetermined judgment value, a second exhaust gas temperature raising control that includes both the post injection and the intake air restriction is performed to set an intake air restriction amount in the first exhaust gas temperature raising control greater than an intake air restriction amount in the second exhaust gas temperature raising control.

To provide an exhaust gas purifying method for purifying the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine () by an exhaust gas purifying system () having an oxidation catalyst (), which comprises the steps of estimating the quantity of unburnt hydrocarbon accumulated in a support of the oxidation catalyst (), performing a hydrocarbon removal control when an estimated accumulation quantity (Vhc) of the unburnt hydrocarbon exceeds a predetermined judgment value (Vhc) and raising an exhaust gas temperature (T) to activate the oxidation catalyst () and oxidizing and removing the accumulated unburnt hydrocarbon.
