In the case of the plate-open failure, a first limp-home traveling mode is carried out in which the vehicle travels in the limp-home mode while keeping the SOWC in a negative rotational speed range. In the case of the sensor failure, a second limp-home traveling mode is carried out in which the vehicle travels in the limp-home mode while the SOWC is placed in the non-engaged state.

Drive control system for vehicle

A controller for a hybrid vehicle is provided. The hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a first electric motor, a second electric motor, a power split mechanism, and a selectable one-way clutch. The hybrid vehicle is configured to increase and transmit a rotation speed of the engine to an output shaft to drive the output shaft in an overdrive state when the selectable one-way clutch is in the engaged state. The controller includes an electronic control unit configured to control the first electric motor such that an engine brake equivalent torque with a magnitude sufficient to maintain the locked state of the selectable one-way clutch is output in a direction opposite to a direction of a negative torque which is generated in the engine when the hybrid vehicle travels in a state in which supply of fuel to the engine is stopped in the overdrive state.

A selectable one-way clutch includes a first plate, a second plate, a claw, a selector plate and an interposition member. The claw is provided in the first plate. The claw projects from the first plate toward the second plate. The claw meshes with a recessed portion disposed in the second plate when the second plate rotates in a predetermined rotation direction and the claw projects from the first plate. The selector plate is placed so as to be adjacent to the first plate. The selector plate rotates relative to the first plate between a locked position at which the claw is projectable and a released position at which the claw is maintained. The interposition member is placed between the selector plate and the second plate. Rotation of the interposition member relative to the selector plate is restricted.

Selectable one-way clutch

A clutch system of the present invention executes, when switching a selectable one-way clutch from a lock mode to a free mode, an early mode switching control where while a selector plate is made go into a waiting state that a pawl member protruding from a fixed plate is abutting against a non-formation portion, a negative torque is made to act on a rotational plate in a negative rotational direction, and, by controlling the negative torque, the selector plate of the waiting state is made to rotate up to a release position.

Clutch system

A selectable one-way clutch includes a first plate, a second plate, a claw, a selector plate and a plate driving device. The selector plate rotates relative to the first plate between a locked position and a released position. The plate driving device includes a drive arm, an actuator, a transmission mechanism, a stopper and a release mechanism. The actuator outputs a driving force to drive the selector plate via the drive arm. The transmission mechanism transmits the driving force to the drive arm such that the selector plate rotates from the released position to the locked position. The stopper is configured to move between a restricted position and an unrestricted position. The stopper is placed at the restricted position when the actuator is not operated. The release mechanism transmits the driving force to the stopper such that the stopper moves from the restricted position to the unrestricted position.

The hybrid drive device of the present invention includes a selectable one-way clutchthat includes a rotational plate that is capable of receiving the reaction torque of an internal combustion engine and that is provided to a power split mechanism, and that can be changed over between: a locked mode in which, in the state of receiving the reaction torque, positive rotation of the rotational plate is prevented while negative rotation of the rotational plate in the direction opposite to the positive rotation is permitted; and a free mode in which, in the state of receiving the reaction torque, the positive rotation and the negative rotation of the rotational plate are both permitted. And, when misfiring of the internal combustion engine occurs, the selectable one-way clutch is kept in the free mode.

Hybrid drive device

A selectable one-way clutch includes pawl members provided to a held plate rotatably via a spindle; a selector plate rotatable between a lock position where the pawl members are protrudable from the held plate and a release position where the pawl members are kept in a state the pawl members are housed in the held plate side by contacting a non-formation portion where no aperture is formed; and a device which restricts an operation of the pawl members by using volume change of material whose volume changes according to temperature change, so that the pawl members are more restricted to protrude from the first plate as an environmental temperature gets lower.

Control device for hybrid vehicle

A selectable one-way clutch includes a first plate, a second plate, a claw, a selector plate and an outer shell. The second plate is placed on the same axis as the first plate. The second plate has a recessed portion. The claw is provided in the first plate and meshes with the recessed portion in a state where the claw projects from the first plate only when the second plate rotates in a predetermined direction. The selector plate is placed between the first plate and the second plate. The selector plate changes a state of claw. The outer shell covers an outer periphery of the first plate. The outer periphery of the first plate and an inner periphery of the outer shell have a tapered shape in which a diameter is gradually reduced toward a direction distance from the second plate.

A control apparatus is applied to a hybrid vehicle. The hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and a second MG as driving sources, and a power split mechanism which is capable of changing and transmitting to an output portion transmitting torque to drive wheel, a rotating speed of the internal combustion engine. And, the hybrid vehicle is capable of switching a gear ratio mode of the power split mechanism between a variable gear ratio mode and a fixed gear ratio mode. The control apparatus determines whether or not a switching of the gear ratio modes is prohibited based on a vehicle speed and a gradient of a road. And, when it is determined that the switching is prohibited, the control apparatus maintains the gear ratio mode in the variable gear ratio mode or the fixed gear ratio mode.
