A power supply device according to an aspect of the present invention includes a plurality of battery cells having a flat right-angled parallelepiped shape and a plurality of separators insulating adjacent ones of the plurality of battery cells. Each of the plurality of separators includes heat insulating sheet arranged between adjacent one of the plurality of battery cells and an adjacent cell adjacent to the one of the plurality of battery cells among the plurality of battery cells, and insulating molded member holding heat insulating sheet. Insulating molded member includes lower wall covering lower surfaces of one of the plurality of battery cells and an adjacent cell adjacent to the one of the plurality of battery cells among the plurality of battery cells, and holder holding insulating sheet with a gap disposed between lower wall and insulating sheet.

Separator for insulating adjacent battery cells and power supply device

To achieve both formability and heat insulating properties, separator according to an aspect of the present invention insulates adjacent battery cells. Separator includes heat insulation sheet including a fiber material and a heat insulation material including higher heat insulating properties than the fiber material, and formed member including higher shape stability than the heat insulation sheet. This enables shape of heat insulation sheet including high flexibility to be maintained using formed member formed into a predetermined shape.

Separator for insulating adjacent battery cells, and power source device provided with same

The battery module includes: battery stack including a plurality of batteries that are stacked, each of the plurality of batteries having valve portion; duct plate configured to cover a surface of battery stack on which the plurality of valve portions are disposed, duct plate having gas discharge duct that is connected to valve portions of the respective batteries, and temporarily stores a blown-off gas; cover plate placed on duct plate; and flow path portion defined by duct plate and cover plate, flow path portion extending from gas discharge duct in a first direction that intersects with stacking direction and allowing leaking of the gas in gas discharge duct to an outside of battery module. Cover plate has opening through which a midst portion of flow path portion is communicable with the outside of the battery module.

Battery module

The battery module includes: battery stack including a plurality of batteries that are stacked, each of the plurality of batteries having valve portion; duct plate configured to cover a surface of battery stack on which the plurality of valve portions are disposed, duct plate having gas discharge duct that is connected to valve portions of respective batteries, and temporarily stores a blown-off gas; cover plate placed on duct plate; and flow path portion defined by duct plate and cover plate, flow path portion extending from gas discharge duct and allowing leaking of a gas in gas discharge duct to an outside of battery module. Cover plate is disposed in a state where a predetermined gap is formed between cover plate and first wall portion of gas discharge duct that faces valve portions, and opening that allows an inside of gas discharge duct and the gap to communicate with each other is formed in first wall portion of gas discharge duct.

Battery module includes: battery stack including a plurality of batteries that are stacked, each of the plurality of batteries having valve portion; duct plate configured to cover a first surface of battery stack on which a plurality of valve portions are disposed, duct plate having gas discharge duct that temporarily stores a gas blown off from valve portions of respective batteries; cover plate placed on duct plate; flow path portion defined by duct plate and cover plate, flow path portion being connected to gas discharge duct through opening, flow path portion extending in a first direction that intersects with stacking direction of the batteries, flow path portion allowing leaking of the gas in gas discharge duct to an outside of battery module; and gas restricting wall portion disposed in gas discharge duct between valve portion and opening.

The power supply device includes a plurality of battery cells each having a square outer shape, a plurality of separators for insulating the adjacent battery cells, and a restraining member that assembles the plurality of battery cells and the plurality of separators. Each of separators has heat insulating properties. Further, each of separators is disposed between the plurality of battery cells. Further, each of separators includes contact portion that comes into contact with adjacent battery cell, and thin portion formed thinner than contact portion.

Power supply device

The power supply device includes a plurality of battery cells each having a rectangular outer shape, a plurality of separators configured to insulate adjacent battery cells, and a restraining member assembling the plurality of battery cells and the plurality of separators. Each of separators includes interposed plate disposed between adjacent battery cells, heat insulating member having a sheet-like shape and disposed between interposed plate and adjacent battery cells, peripheral wall protruding from interposed plate toward adjacent battery cells and defining a housing space housing adjacent battery cells, and a plurality of ribs provided inside peripheral wall. The plurality of ribs holds heat insulating member.
