Compositions comprising one or more chelating agents and optionally zinc ion salts are used to inhibit the growth or biofilm formation in bacteria associated with personal care products such as ophthalmic, pedicure, manicure or podiatric solutions. The compositions of the present application can also comprise gelling agents, antimicrobials, antibiotic or a pH adjuster. The compositions may be in the form of a solution, a gel, a cream, a jelly, a powder, a paste, a lotion, soap and a cleaner.

Antimicrobial-antibiofilm compositions and methods of use thereof for personal care products

Compositions comprising iron-sequestering glycoproteins, chelating agents, stabilizing agents, binding agents, surfactants, fluorides, antimicrobials and a pH adjuster or buffer for the prevention and treatment of oral cavity diseases caused by dental plaque/biofilm, such as dental caries, gingivitis and periodontitis, through anti-infective properties are disclosed. Compositions and methods for reducing oral biofilm

Compositions comprising chelating agents, metal ion salts, gelling agents or a buffer, antimicrobials, antibiofilm agents and a pH adjuster or a buffer for the prevention and treatment of wound infections and food-borne diseases involving bacterial biofilms are disclosed.
