A mobile device includes a session maintainer application, a native application and a shell application and a link to a web application. If a user is seeking to access a native application, and an active session has not been established, user login credential is obtained, a session token is obtained upon verification of the user login credential, and the obtained session token is provided to the native application. If the user is seeking to access a web application, and an active session has not been established, a session token is obtained upon verification of the user login credential and the obtained session token is provided to the shell application. If an active session has been established then the obtained session token is automatically provided to the native or shell application when the user subsequently seeks access to the respective application.

Single sign-on for a native application and a web application on a mobile device

A method and apparatus for setting a wireless terminal for a service are disclosed. The wireless terminal automatically sends identification information to a server by dialing a predetermined number. Upon receiving the identification information, the server finds customer information corresponding to the identification information, and determines one or more services which are available on the wireless terminal. The server sends service information indicating the available services. The wireless terminal displays a list of the available services, and upon detecting a selection of an available service, sends a request to transfer an application program for setting up the selected service to the server. The wireless terminal executes the downloaded application program and displays guidance for setting up the available service. In response to user inputs based on the displayed guidance, the selected service is activated and set-up in the wireless terminal.

Enhanced network security is provided by requiring three types of information to be authenticated: user information identifying a user, security information that the user has entered into a network data communication device, and device information identifying the network data communication device. Systems and databases are described for processing and authenticating this information.

Triple authentication: mobile hardware, mobile user, and user account

Network applications can provide network security without containing any security code or otherwise verifying the authenticity of each request that they receive for service. Instead, a single, centralized network authentication system can be placed between the network applications and all devices requesting for services from them. The authenticity of each request for service can then be verified by the centralized network authentication system before the request is passed to the network application to which it is directed. Responses from the network applications may also be channeled back to the systems that made the requests through the centralized network authentication system.
