An intravaginal pessary device in an applicator is provided. The device has a top and a bottom, and a sidewall that extends between the top and the bottom. The sidewall, top and bottom form an outer periphery defining a total area of the device. The pessary device has a maximum diameter that is less than about 25 mm. The pessary device and applicator exhibit a maximum expulsion force that is below 1500 grams.

A non-expandable pessary device, the pessary device having a top, a base, a sidewall that extends between the top and the base, a length measured from the top to the base, a longitudinal axis, a maximum diameter, and a minimum diameter that is less than the maximum diameter, the sidewall, top and base forming an enclosed outer periphery defining a total area of the device. The pessary device has radial symmetry about the longitudinal axis and has a pressure region adapted to extend between an anterior vaginal wall and a posterior vaginal wall of a user to provide pressure on the user's urethra through the anterior vaginal wall.

The pessary device has a pressure region adapted to extend between an anterior vaginal wall and a posterior vaginal wall of a user to provide pressure on the user's urethra through the vaginal wall. The pressure region includes the maximum diameter, and the maximum diameter is less than 25 mm.

Pessary device

A tampon applicator having an outer member adapted to house a tampon and receive an inner member. The outer member includes a fingergrip region having an indentation region that extends inwardly from the outer surface of the outer member. The indentation region has a depth dimension that is measured from the outer surface of the outer member to a lowest point of the indentation region. The indentation region comprises a first raised portion and a second raised portion, each of which having a height dimension that is measured from an individual raised portion's base to an individual raised portion's highest point, wherein the height dimension is less than the depth dimension. The first raised portion is a different size and a different shape as compared to the second raised portion.

A tampon applicator having an outer member adapted to house a tampon and receive an inner member. The inner member has a first end and a second end. The first end is spaced a first distance from a first longitudinal protrusion. The second end is spaced a second distance from a second longitudinal protrusion.

A tampon applicator which has an elongate insertion member having a length extending from an insertion end to a gripper end opposite. The gripper end has a grip region dimensioned to substantially accept a user's grip. The grip region has a plurality of corrugations, a first transition portion, and a second transition portion. Each corrugation has a trough and a ridge. The first transition portion is substantially adjacent the gripper end and a second transition portion is disposed toward the insertion end.

This invention relates to a tampon applicator, having a specific insertion tip structure with overlapping petals, connected to a tube. The petals are preferably curved such that one edge of a petal has an angle with the top edge of the tube of 40&deg; to 60&deg;. The petals are at least partially closed over the tampon and easily openable in use, which provides an improved, safer and more hygienic insertion of the tampon into the body.

Compositions comprise carbon particles combined with white odor-controlling agents by means of binders. The preferred particle form of the compositions is substantially lighter in color than the original carbon, and the resulting particles are preferred for use in the manufacture of catamenials, diapers, bandages, and the like. Particles comprising carbon coated with zeolites are not only desirably lighter in color, but also control a broad spectrum of malodors associated with body fluids.

Carbon-containing odor controlling compositions

Compositions comprise absorbent gelling materials combined with high levels of odor-controlling agents by means of binders. The preferred particle form of the compositions is easy to handle, and is used in the manufacture of catamenials, diapers, bandages, and the like. The absorbent gelling material enhances the odor-controlling properties of the compositions by helping to control ammonia odors.
