A finger-manipulated article (e.g., a pen) includes a foam grip. The foam preferably is made from a foamable polyurethane prepolymer and a filler, or a latex, or both. The preferred foam has a recovery rate of less than 5 cm per minute. The foam may include a surface coating on its outer surface.

Foam grip

An erasable system including an element having a porous marking surface and an erasable marking composition for applying markings to the porous marking surface. The marking composition comprises an aqueous dispersion of particles of film-forming polymeric materials and a colorant, and the marking composition provides an erasable, substantially water-insoluble coalesced residue on the marking surface.

Erasable system including marking surface and erasable ink composition

An erasable system including a marking element providing a non-porous marking surface and an erasable marking composition for applying markings to the marking surface. The erasable marking composition comprises a film forming polymeric material and a colorant. Preferred marking compositions comprise an elastomeric film forming polymeric material.

The device includes a substantially cylindrical body formed of a compressible, elastomeric material and defined by a substantially uniform OD and ID along the axial length of the body. A plurality of ribs arranged substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body and substantially equidistantly spaced apart from each other are carried about the I.D. The combination of the selected compressible material, the selected I.D. and OD dimensions of the body and the selected number, depth and thickness of the ribs cooperate and converge to provide a compressibility index (CI) valve for the device between about 1000 to about 18,000 gms/cm.

Finger gripping device

The instant invention is directed to a sheet product capable of forming an improved battery separator. The present sheet product is formed from a thin, acid-stable, porous material and has a first and a second major face with a plurality of separate, continuous, open channels on each major face such that each channel on each major face defines a separation between two channels on the other major face. Further, each channel defines an imaginary median line with at least some portions of at least some channels extending laterally with respect to the imaginary median line and each channel has at least one continuous contour line in the form of straight line segments such that every portion of each channel is capable of being at an acute angle of not greater than 70 degrees from an imaginary vertical line orientated from bottom to top of a battery containing the sheet product.

Battery separator

The instant invention is directed to a sheet product capable of forming an improved battery separator. The present sheet product is formed from a thin, acid-stable, porous material and has a first and a second major face with a plurality of separate, continuous, open channels on each face such that each channel on each major face defines a separation between two channels on the other major face. Further, each channel defines an imaginary medium line with at least some portions of at least some channels extending laterally with respect to the imaginary medium line, and every portion of each channel is capable of being at an acute angle of not greater than 70 degrees from an imaginary vertical line oriented from bottom to top of a battery containing the sheet product.

A battery separator embossed with a configuration that is neither vertical corrugation or vertical rib and yet in which all of the surface areas of the two separator faces open or slant upwardly except the portions actually directly engaged against a battery plate. Thus all intended recesses in the faces of the battery separator are open at their upper extremity so that no gas can be trapped by the configuration of the battery separator embossment. Additionally the division portions between the embossed recesses on the positive plate engaging face are in continuous engagement with the positive battery plate from the bottom of the plate to the top of the plate which provides stability to the raised areas of the battery separator that engage the negative battery plate.
