A method of monitoring an infectious disease, a system using the same, and a recording medium for performing the same are provided. The infectious disease monitoring system includes an imaging device for capturing and transmitting image data on animals managed in a barn, a first server for determining whether a subject suspected of having an infectious disease is detected from the image data and, when the subject suspected of having the infectious disease is detected, transmitting a signal along with the image data, a second server for confirming an occurrence of the infectious disease by analyzing the image data of the subject suspected of having the infectious disease, and transmitting a warning signal when confirmed the occurrence of the infectious disease, and a manager terminal for requesting the image data on the animals to the first server upon receipt of the warning signal and displaying the image data.

An appliance includes an operation unit that is mounted in a case of the appliance that is supplied power by an external power supply and that includes at least one of a motor and a heating member. The appliance further includes a control circuit mounted in the case of the appliance and configured to control the operation unit to perform appliance functionality that is different than measuring power. The appliance further includes a power meter coupled to the control circuit, built into the case, and configured to measure power consumed by the appliance in performing the appliance functionality.

A refrigerator includes a motor to drive a compressor, an output current detector to detect an output current flowing to the motor, a compressor controller to calculate a power consumed in the compressor based on the detected output current, a plurality of power consuming units, and a main controller to receive the calculated compressor power consumption information, and when the plurality of power consuming units operate, to calculate a final power consumption using power consumption information stored for each power consuming unit and the calculated compressor power consumption information. Accordingly, computation of a power consumption may be simply performed.
