A secondary battery includes: a first electrode provided with a first collector and a first electrode active material applied on at least one surface of the first collector; and a second electrode provided with a second collector and a second electrode active material applied on at least one surface of the second collector, wherein an uneven coating portion at which the first electrode active material irregularly increases in amount and is applied is provided on at least one of a coating start portion or a coating end portion of the first electrode active material, and an inactive coating portion configured to cover the uneven coating portion is provided on at least one of a coating start portion or a coating end portion of the second electrode active material. A method of manufacturing the secondary battery is also provided.

Secondary battery and method for manufacturing the same

According to one aspect of the present invention, a secondary battery has a bent part disposed on an end of an upper portion of the battery can. The bent part is bent inward toward a top cap to fix the top cap. The secondary battery is configured such that, when an internal pressure of the battery can exceeds a predetermined value, a region (R) in which the top cap and the bent part overlap each other when viewed from above is reduced by deformation of the top cap or the bent part to allow an entire region of the top cap to become spaced further from the battery can.

In an embodiment, the system for manufacturing the electrode for the secondary battery comprises a supply roller for supplying a collector having a long sheet shape; an electrode active material coating device for applying an electrode active material to a surface of the collector supplied by the supply roller to manufacture an unfinished electrode; a rolling roller for rolling a surface of the unfinished electrode and adjusting a thickness of the electrode active material to manufacture a finished electrode; and an electrode quality inspection device for inspecting quality of the electrode through a surface roughness value of the rolling roller, a surface roughness value of the surface of the electrode, and a rolling load value of the rolling roller.

The present invention relates to a system for manufacturing an electrode for a secondary battery. The system for manufacturing the electrode for the secondary battery comprises a supply roller supplying a collector having a long sheet shape; an electrode active material coating device applying an electrode active material to a surface of the collector supplied by the supply roller to manufacture an unfinished electrode; a rolling roller rolling a surface of the unfinished electrode and adjusting a thickness of the electrode active material to manufacture a finished electrode; and an electrode quality inspection device inspecting quality of the electrode through a surface roughness value of the rolling roller and a surface roughness value of the electrode.

System and method for manufacturing electrode for secondary battery

The present invention relates to a secondary battery. The secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly in which an electrode and a separator are alternately stacked and wound, wherein the electrode comprises a collector, a first coating layer in which an electrode active material is applied to a surface of the collector, and a second coating layer in which the electrode active material is applied to the outside of the first coating layer, wherein an end of the second coating layer has a length less than an end of first coating layer in a winding direction of the electrode, and a stepped portion occurs between the end of the first coating layer and the end of the second coating layer in a direction outward from a winding center.
