Disclosed herein are a cleaner and a control method thereof. The control method of the cleaner includes: supplying predetermined rearrangement power to a motor for a predetermined time period; detecting a position of a rotor using a hall sensor; and supplying start-up power according to the detected position of the rotor.

Cleaner and control method thereof

A motor includes a control part assembly having an air inlet through which air is inlet, an air flow path configured to communicate with the air inlet, and a printed circuit board; and a motor part assembly having a stator configured to generate magnetic flux when a current is applied, a rotor structured to be rotated while interacting with the stator electromagnetically, a motor shaft provided to be rotated together with the rotor, and an impeller coupled to the motor shaft and provided to be rotated to generate air flow, and is configured to be detachably coupled to the control part assembly. Through the structure as such, the performance of the motor may be improved.

Motor

A controller including a case provided with at least one opened surface, a cover opening and closing the at least one opened surface, and a circuit board provided within the case and provided with a heating unit. The cover includes a cover body and a heat radiation unit in which at least a portion of the inner surface of the cover body is concave toward the circuit board so as to be closely adhered to the heating unit for the purpose of heat radiation. Thereby, heat within the controller may be effectively radiated and the lifespan of electrical devices may be extended.

Controller

A system for controlling a linear compressor, generates freezing force as a piston reciprocates according to rotation of a motor which receives alternating current power through a triac. The system includes a controller which moves up or delays a trigger signal corresponding to an absorption cycle or a compression cycle, such that the center point of the piston reaches a resonant point when a current and a phase difference of the motor deviate from predetermined ranges.
