There is provided a motor device. A motor device according to an aspect of the invention may include: a stator including a core having a coil wound therearound; a rotor having a magnet facing the core to thereby generate an electromagnetic force involved in interactions therebetween, the rotor rotating a shaft; a sleeve supporting the shaft; and a sleeve housing having a mounting surface to support the core and a protrusion protruding from the mounting surface to prevent a rotation of the core.

Motor device and method of manufacturing the same

Disclosed herein is a disk chucking apparatus. The apparatus includes a central boss which is coupled to a rotating shaft of a motor, a guide which extends from the central boss outwards and is inserted into a center hole of a disk, and a chucking unit which extends from the central boss outwards. The chucking unit is elastically deformable inwards when pushed by the disk that is fitted over the guide. The chucking unit includes a lower horizontal part, a vertical part and an upper horizontal part. The lower horizontal part extends from the lower portion of the central boss outwards in the horizontal direction. The vertical part is bent from the outer end of the lower horizontal part upwards. The vertical part extends in a direction inclined outwards. The upper horizontal part extends from the upper end of the vertical part inwards in a horizontal direction.

Disclosed is a core including a plurality of core layers in a laminated structure formed through one-directional press shearing and having an insulating layer formed on the surface thereof prevented from being damaged by burrs formed through the press shearing when a winding coil is wound on and around the core, and a motor having the core. The core for a motor includes: a plurality of core plates having a laminated structure formed through one-directional press shearing; and a chamfered portion formed on at least some of the corners of a face opposed to one face of the core plate to which force is applied by the press shearing.

Disclosed herein is provided a spindle motor and a disk driver having the same. There is provided a spindle motor including: a sleeve rotatably supporting a shaft; a bush combined with the top portion of the shaft to be rotated together with the shaft; a rotor case including a cylindrical wall part combined with the outer peripheral surface of the bush; an air flow spreading part formed on the axial bottom part of the bush and spreading the air flow generated between the shaft and the sleeve to the radial outer side when the shaft is rotated; and a sealing part formed on the axial bottom portion of the bush and formed between the cylindrical wall part and the air flow spreading part to seal oil when the shaft is rotated.

Disclosed herein is a disk clamping device capable of preventing the slipping or eccentricity of an optical disk when it rotates at high speeds. The disk clamping device includes a turntable having a hub which is integrally provided in a central portion thereof and inserted into a central hole of an optical disk. A guide unit is accommodated in the turntable in such a way as to move linearly, and at least portion of the guide unit protrudes outwards from the hub and is supportedby the optical disk. The guide unit is moved linearly by mounting force of the optical disk. A spring is provided in the turntable to elastically bias the guide unit in a direction opposite to a direction of insertion of the optical disk. A chucking plate presses the upper surface of the optical disk, thus securing the optical disk to the turntable.

The spindle motor includes a rotating shaft, a rotor cover which is secured to the rotating shaft and rotates the rotating shaft, a bearing for rotatably supporting the rotating shaft, a holder for holding the bearing, and a holding magnet which is directly mounted to an inner wall of the rotor cover. In this case, the holding magnet is positioned above the bearing to prevent oil from being discharged from the bearing to the outside.

The jig includes an upper jig part, a lower jig part, a support plate, a guide jig part, and a spring. The upper jig part has a pressure protrusion for press-fitting a rotating shaft, and applies pressing force to the rotating shaft. The lower jig part supports a rotor casing in a direction which is opposite the acting direction of the pressing force. The support plate is mounted to the lower jig part, and supports the rotor casing in a direction which is opposite that of the force for press-fitting the rotating shaft. The guide jig part supports the rotor casing in a direction which is opposite that of reaction force generated in the rotor casing by the support plate. The spring elastically biases the guide jig part towards the rotor casing.

Disclosed herein is a spindle motor. The spindle motor includes a rotating shaft, a rotor cover which is secured to the rotating shaft and rotates the rotating shaft, a bearing for rotatably supporting the rotating shaft, a holder for holding the bearing, and a holding magnet which is directly mounted to an inner wall of the rotor cover. In this case, the holding magnet is positioned above the bearing to prevent oil from being discharged from the bearing to the outside.

Disclosed herein is a turntable allowing easy assembly of a magnetizing yoke, which includes a central guide part for helping seat a disc on the turntable, and a balancing part extending from the central guide part in a circumferential direction thereof and balancing the disc. In this case, the central guide part has an annular opening to which the magnetizing yoke is detachably coupled. The central guide part includes at least one coupling protrusion provided on a sidewall of the central guide part exposed to the annular opening, and the magnetizing yoke includes at least one coupling part which is provided along an edge of the magnetizing yoke and corresponds to the coupling protrusion. Further, the coupling part includes a coupling hole corresponding to the coupling protrusion, and a protrusion seat in close contact with the coupling protrusion. The protrusion seat is formed to be inclined downwards toward the coupling hole.

Disclosed herein is a turntable assembly. The turntable assembly includes a turntable for mounting the optical disk thereon, and a chucking member which is contracted toward a center of an optical disk and holds the optical disk. A spring elastically biases the chucking member in a direction away from the center of the optical disk. An elastic support member supports the chucking member in a direction opposite an inserting direction, so that at least part of the elastic support member supporting the chucking member is elastically deformed in the inserting direction of the optical disk. A housing accommodates the chucking member, the spring, and the elastic support member therein. The elastic support member includes a support part which is spaced apart from the turntable to undergo elastic deformation in the inserting direction, and supports the chucking member.

Disclosed herein is a jig for assembling a rotor. The jig includes an upper jig part, a lower jig part, a support plate, a guide jig part, and a spring. The upper jig part has a pressure protrusion for press-fitting a rotating shaft, and applies pressing force to the rotating shaft. The lower jig part supports a rotor casing in a direction which is opposite the acting direction of the pressing force. The support plate is mounted to the lower jig part, and supports the rotor casing in a direction which is opposite that of the force for press-fitting the rotating shaft. The guide jig part supports the rotor casing in a direction which is opposite that of reaction force generated in the rotor casing by the support plate. The spring elastically biases the guide jig part towards the rotor casing.

The invention relates to an optical disk drive, and more particularly, to a holder for disk drives having an improved chuck structure for seating a disk. The holder of the invention, in use, is inserted into a central opening of a disk for detachably seating the disk, and comprises: a circular hub projected upward and sized equal to the central opening of the disk; a chuck projected from a lateral portion of the hub, wherein the chuck includes a rear portion elastically connected with the hub, a peak formed in a front portion of the chuck and a lower circular face of a curvature extended downward from the peak; and a support formed integral with the hub for contacting the lower circular face of the chuck to enable circular motion of the chuck.

The disk-chucking device includes a chuck base having a plurality of arranging parts recessed along an outer periphery of the chuck base and formed at the center of the chuck base with a central boss connected to the motor, a plurality of chuck pins respectively assembled to the arranging parts, a plurality of spring members elastically supporting a rear end of the chuck pins forwardly such that a leading end of the chuck pins can be exposed to an outer surface of the chuck base, and a rigid frame contacting the spring members and formed with a central hole such that the central hole has an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the central boss, thereby providing a degree of freedom, which allows the rigid frame to be moved in a horizontal direction within an allowable range.
