A flat panel display capable of preventing a chipping phenomenon of a pixel definition layer, and a method for making the same are disclosed. The flat panel display includes a thin film transistor formed on a substrate; a planarization layer formed on the thin film transistor; a first electrode layer formed on the planarization layer and electrically connected with the thin film transistor through the via hole formed in the planarization layer; a pixel definition layer formed on the planarization layer and in which an opening for at least partially exposing the first electrode layer is formed; an adhesive reinforcement layer formed at least between the planarization layer and the pixel definition layer on the top of the planarization layer; an emitting layer formed on the first electrode layer; and a second electrode layer formed on the emitting layer and the pixel definition layer. The flat panel display has an improved adhesive property between a pixel definition layer and an planarization layer, which prevents a chipping phenomenon of the pixel definition layer.

A laser induced thermal imaging method capable of effectively laminating a donor film and an acceptor substrate using a magnetic force; and a fabricating method of an organic light-emitting diode using the same. The laser induced thermal imaging method includes arranging an acceptor substrate, in which a first magnet is formed in one surface thereof, on a substrate stage in a processing chamber; arranging on the acceptor substrate a donor film including a second magnet; laminating the donor film and the acceptor substrate using a magnetic force acting between the first and second magnets; and transferring at least one region of an imaging layer onto the acceptor substrate by scanning a laser on the donor film. The laser induced thermal imaging method improved adhesion between the donor film and the acceptor substrate improves a life span, a yield and a reliability of the organic light-emitting diode.

Laser induced thermal imaging method and fabricating method of organic light-emitting diode using the same

A manufacturing method using an additional heat-treatment process for a donor film with improved surface roughness. The improved donor film, used in a laser induced thermal imaging method, is capable of enhancing the lifetime of products and reducing the defect rates thereof. A manufacturing method for a donor film according to the invention, includes: providing a donor film comprising a base film, a light-to-heat conversion layer and an organic film; heating the donor film to provide a heat-treated donor film; and cooling the heat-treated donor film. The surface roughness of a donor film can be improved, and the non-uniform distribution of a laser on a region subjected to the LITI process can be minimized to prevent the over- or under-transfer of an transferred organic film, etc., and the non-uniform adhesion of the transferred organic film with an acceptor substrate.
