An active energy ray-curable ink composition comprising a colorant, a monomer and a photopolymerization initiator, in which the monomer contains an acrylamide derivative in an amount of 10 to 90% by weight based on the whole weight of the ink composition, and the ink composition has a viscosity of 3 to 35 mPa&#xb7;s at 25&#xb0; C. The ink composition has a low viscosity without dilution by a diluent solvent, good storage stability, good pigment dispersibility when a pigment is used as a colorant and also good continuous ejection stability to a printing medium, has a good curing property at a low energy level such as a cumulative amount of light of 150 mJ/cmor less, and it can attain good printing quality on nonabsorbable printing medium and achieves good adhesion of printed images to the printing medium.

Energy ray-curable ink composition

A dispersion composition including a colorant and an acrylic polymer having the furan structure, and an ink for an ink jet printer including such a dispersion composition. This dispersion composition can achieve the satisfactory stability of the colorant irrespective of the kind of the colorant, and allows the inks to be formulated to have the same composition. The ink for an ink jet printer has good storage stability and printing stability.

Dispersion composition and ink-jet printer ink comprising the same

There is provided a dispersion composition which has excellent dispersion stability and hardly sediments even after a long-term storage. This dispersion composition is a composition comprising a particulate material dispersed in an organic solvent, wherein a graft copolymer which has a particle diameter of 0.01-1 &#x3bc;m and self-disperses in said organic solvent is adsorbed to at least a part of the outer surface of said particulate material and a graft chain of said graft copolymer comprises a polysiloxane and an alkylene group of 1-18 carbon atoms.

Dispersion composition and method for producing the same

The object of the present invention is to provide an ink for ink jet printers which is improved in dispersion stability. The ink is one containing a pigment and an organic solvent where a silicone graft polymer is contained in the ink and is dispersed in the organic solvent in the form of particles having a particle diameter of 0.01-0.3 &#x3bc;m in such a state as the silicone graft polymer being adsorbed to at least a part of the outer surface of the pigment. The pigment is an organic pigment and/or carbon black.

An object of the present invention is to provide a dispersion composition which is free from the precipitation problem because of its improved dispersion stability, permits employment of various kinds of organic solvents and insoluble granular materials, is widely utilizable, and is useful as, in particular, a liquid developer or a jet printing ink, in which electrostatic force is utilized. The present invention provides a dispersion composition comprising a dispersion of a granular material in an organic solvent and further comprising a high-molecular weight compound having acidic groups and a high-molecular weight compound having basic groups, at least a part of said high-molecular compounds being insoluble in the organic solvent, and said high-molecular weight compounds being adsorbed on at least a portion of the granular material.
